Top 5 Free Agents that fit the Wizards

The Wizards have two huge needs. First they need a veteran defensive minded swingman. Secondly they need interior defender/rebounder. So here are my top 5 free agents that I think the Wizards could realistically obtain.

5. Andrei Krilenko. He is a versitale defender who can play either the 3 or 4 and can guard 1-4 if needed. He is not just a defender. He could also give you 12-15 points a game as a starter. 'i would take him in a heartbeat over Rashard Lewis. However, it is not clear if he is going to stay in Russia or not.

4. Shane Battier. I thought the Wizards should have drafted him originally. Think just how different things might have been. I really think that the Wizards more than anything over the last 10 years or so needed an unselfish leader that would do whatever it took to win. They had that somewhat in Antwan Jaminson. However, Jamison was a defensive liability. I never understood how Jamison could be so quick on offense and so flat footed on defense. Anyway back to Battier. Battier is a much stronger, and better 3 point shooter than Kirilenko. Also I don't know if I have seen anyway guard Kobe as well as Battier.

3. Joe Przybilla- This guy is not interested in offensive numbers like every other big man on the Wizards. He is a good post defender and IMO one of the best rebounders in the game. He would be a great backup to McGee.

2. Deandre Jordan.- Deandre Jordan reminds me of Mcgee and Blatche rolled up into one player but, he has the strength that neither of them have.

1. Nene- Nene will provide the toughness and gritt that the Wizards have been missing. He is a unique player because most players as mobile as he is do not like to bang inside.

Jan Vessley is the next AK47

Flacco has to trust his receivers to make catches, but shouldn’t throw towards coverage. He needs to attack deep more often, but shouldn’t hold onto the ball so long. He needs to show more awareness in the pocket and move to extend plays, but nothing good comes of him leaving the pocket. He should run with the ball if nobody’s open, but he definitely can’t run with the ball.

Flacco should have the awareness of Roethlisberger, the elusiveness of Vick, the control of the offense of Manning, the leadership of Brady, the accuracy of Brees, and the arm strength of … Flacco? - Ampallang

Battier's going to a contender

Although the thought of him showing the ropes to our guys gives me chills…

Pryzbilla

is probably the most realistic and logical pickup. He was pretty good in Portland for a few seasons. I think that would be a good signing.

No way Nene is going to be a Wizards

Some team is going to give him a max contract, which thank God that will not be us.

Nene

Great fit for the wizards as he runs the floor and can play in the half court but highly unlikely. Always been a huge fan of pryzbilla and would think he would be another piece to build a great defensive team

No Love for Deandre Jordan. If you look at the problem with all the Wizards big men it is that they have no bulk. Deandre Jordan is as athletic as Blatche, or Mcgee but, has bulk and strength.

What about Kris Humphries??

He has a career per 36 of 13pts/11rebs and does not need a lot of minutes to be effective, whcih means there would be more oppotunity for Vesely and Singleton to get gametime minutes. Not to mention he is a fringe starter that we may be able to get on the cheap…
