The $46million Question. What the heck do we do with Rashard Lewis?

The first Factoid: The Washington Wizards do not need Rashard Lewis. Not one minute for this 3 point shooting Power Forward (who by the way has been missing on his 3 point shots).

After last years draft we have tons of Small Forward/ Power Forward types who are hungry and talented. They need as many minutes on an NBA court as they can get.

Jan Vesely, the 6th pick in the draft will demand plenty of minutes and the Wizards will be more than willing to give it to him. Chris Singleton, considered one of the best, if not the best, defender in the draft. Add Trevor Booker, Kevin Seraphin and Andray Blatche and there just isn't enough minutes in a game to waste any on Rashard Lewis.

I don't care if he is owed $46million. So what? That is so 2008. Time to move on. As Mike pointed out. If we cut Rashard then we will have to spend $33million this year. Great! Spend it all. It's only Ted's money.

Put in a huge $32million offer over 2 years for Brandon Roy through the new amnesty bidding setup. Better yet, give it also to Nick Young. If someone offers Nick an offer of $32million over 4 years, turn around and give him $32million over 2 years. ( I know it sounds absurb but if you gotta spend it, then spend it on someone who will produce for us).

Our Back court is all of a sudden pretty darn good with a 4 guard rotation of  Wall, Young, Roy and Crawford.

What did it cost us? ZERO. It just took Ted forking over the $46million sitting on the edge of the bench.

That's what I would do. It's only Ted's money.

What would you do?
