Kobe on Kwame
He said, 'Well, if I'm open don't throw it to me.' I was like, 'Huh?' He said, 'Don't throw it to me.' I said, 'Why not?' He said, well, 'I'm nervous. If I catch it and they foul me, I won't make the free throws.' I said, 'Hell no!'

I feel bad for Kwame
His own collegue’s make fun of him, fans in the stands call him out and boo him and it doesn’t stop there….If he goes to a grocery store, people will stare and point. In clubs people will mock him and laugh. In his own hood, kids will make fun of him as he walks by the playground….“Look mama, there goes that man! The worst #1 pick in the history of the the game!” Just walking the streets complete strangers feel they are entiled to shout and laugh at him.
I don’t envy him.

I think
Olawakandi was worst than Kwame and Thabeet since he was the highest pick ever to down to the D-League.

the kandi man?
the guy at least had a great college career and was somewhat productive for nba teams. At one point he was one of the biggest free agent aquisitions when every team wanted a solid backup center. Kwame brown will never be a solid backup center. Kwame brown is so bad that he left a huge mark on Jordans name, i mean think about that, people can excuse jordans allstar game botched dunk attempts (you know the allstar game he should never have participated in) before they excuse his choosing kwame freakin brown…
I dont care what the D.N.A. Says, the Guy wearing number 12 Cannot be Kirk Hinrich, he is definetly Kurt. Kirk can actually play basketball!
I don't see a massive difference between Okowokandi and Kwame in terms of career numbers.
You can argue which pick was worse, but there’s not an order of magnitude between them. Kwame is a serviceable backup center, and probably a good bit better than NDiaye will turn out to be. In any case, we still wound up with the best player from that draft, which turned out to be yet another of those deals with the devil that the Wizards keep making.

not sure
about your comment about Ndiaye. IF (big if) the reports are correct about him getting bigger and stronger, I would give him the benefit of the doubt..

Kwame was actually pretty decent for the Bobcats last season
I even saw him make some post moves! I think he’ll get a decent contract next season.

Young bigs are a huge risk
It’s hard to tell if any player has real mental strength, but it’s even harder with a kid who has never faced someone bigger and stronger than themselves. Is that aggressiveness real or just a mirage? Is he a real competitor or just a bully who will wilt when he faces someone who won’t back down?
