With everything in life there is the right way to do things and then there's a whole lot of different ways.
Kevin Seraphin and Trevor Booker decided to do the right thing. They set themselves up to be in basketball shape. They set themselves up to be be better players, not only for when the lockout ends, but for the rest of their basketball future. They are not staying home, working out with their personal trainer or going to exhibition glorified pickup games. They are not as talented as John Wall or Kevin Durant, who can afford to do it their way.
These are two guys who take their basketball development serious. They both signed with pro teams overseas coming up during the lockout. Kevin tried out and made the French National Team and did an excellent job this summer. When this lockout ends they will be basketball ready. No need getting in "basketball shape." They will be getting coached by professional coaches during the lockout. These are 2 First Round draft picks that are showing that they want to be in the NBA for a very very long time.
I will give a pass to Vesely and Singleton because they have not made a penny yet. I am sure their Agents are against them doing anything that would jeopardize their upcoming guaranteed contracts. That is totally understandable.
Don't be surpised that if this lockout drags out pass the New Year that when that first ball gets tossed up that Kevin Seraphin and Trevor Booker will be on the floor for the opening tip.
Go Wizards!
