Where are Booker and Seraphin?

I'm just wondering. I think we should show the video of the Los Angeles Lakers away game from December 7. The last 15 minutes of that game where in my opinion the best we played all year. We had our 3 Rookies plus Nick on the Floor. We came back and almost beat the World Champs. Booker scored 14 and was all over the floor running the break with John Wall and playing great defense. Seraphin blocked 4 shots and gave Gasol all he could handle. These two young BIGS went toe to toe against Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom and almost puled off a huge upset.

We haven't seen them since playing any significan minutes.

??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Then Flip started them against SAC and that went nowhere.

But I agree that it shouldn’t be full throttle or on the shelf…Flip needs to have more confidence in bringing those two off the bench for spells at PF/C.

Some nights they will produce, some nights they won't

We should not expect them to contribute significantly in terms of production on a regular basis.

I think Flip should play them for 8 to 10 minutes every game for the sake of development. If they produce, keep them in, if they don’t then don’t.

I also subscribe to this theory

But from what I was hearing (and seeing the box-score) Seraphin got in 6 quality minutes but wasn’t given anything else after that. Confusing to me

I made this comment in post-game thread

but relevant here. Booker and Seraphin are averaging 2.8 and 4.0 mpg respectively. I don’t see a case for a 1st round pick staying in NBA with those kind of minutes. A roster-filler veteran yes, but a young player who you hope to develop into a rotation player should be getting experience. If we trust Dakota with longshot late-2nd picks but not our legit prospect 1st picks like Booker and Seraphin, then we need to get our own D-League affiliate with essentially a Wizards assistant coach as its head coach running Wizards schemes on offense and defense.

That is nonsense

Ed Davis, Patrick Patterson and Cole Aldrich have been assigned to a D League affiliate for developmental purposes. Al players picked higher than Seraphin.

The point is, playing against good competition makes good talent better.

Yea but at least Patterson and Aldrich are on veteran-led playoff teams

We know that we are young and rebuilding, should not care about wins and losses, we should only care about the development of our young players.

Yes, we are rebuilding and they should get more PT

read my post above.

All i’m saying is that the D league is not a losers league. If anything a rebuilding team should grab every opportunity to improve its talent.

If you are assigned to the D-League and are a first round draft pick and not injured or a problem player then:

You are a bust. Patterson and Aldrich was an admission by the team-just like Thabeet- that they made a mistake.
No good players, especially Booker and Seraphin, should play one second in the D-League.
They should be getting minutes in the NBA, which they have shown they can play and contribute.
Flip likes Veterans. He does not trust Booker and Seraphi. I don’t know why but he does not.
If Booker and Seraphin get sent to the D-League to play with players making $18,000 a year and are not good enough to play in Europe or China then Ernie and Flip should both be replaced immediately.

D-League= Not good enough to play in Europe, Turkey, China, Spain or Bangladash

These are bottom of the barrell players. The Coaches are also bottom of the barrell coaches. These coaches are not even good enough to get a job with Division 1 schools. Look what Terrence Williams did to the D-League. He crushed these sorry players. What did New Jersey do? They traded him even after crushing the D-League.
The D-League is perfect for players who have almost no other shot. At least they make $18,000 a year.

Perfect example

This is a perfect example why this organization hasn’t gone forward since Gil hit that shot against the Bulls. Ernie hasn’t added young talent through the draft other than Nick and Wall. There is no way 2 out of 3 1st rd draft picks can’t see the floor on a team that can’t win on the road and will in no way make the playoffs. By not playing these guys Flip is basically letting you know these 2 guys can’t help you right now. You mean to tell me we blow off a Stephon Curry or a Dejuan Blair but draft these 2 guys the next year? C’mon man!

Every team passed on Dejuan Blair. Not just the Wiz. San Anton just a smart team.

Every team passed on Joe Montana 2 times and every team passed on Tom Brady 5 times.
It is kinda hard to blame teams for passing on a guy without Ankles (I think he’s missing ankles).
