POLL: Who should be the Wizards Starting Power Forward Right Now?

As the roster is assembled right now. Please do not take into account rumors of trades. Current Starter Andray Blatche or Newcomer Rashard Lewis. Maybe Rookie Trevor Booker from Clemson of the ACC . How about the Chinese National Team Captain Yi Jianlian who appears to be the heir apparent to Yao Ming as the most popular Chinese player in the world? Power Forward is in a great debate in Washington Wizard land right now. Who would you like to be our Starting Power forward going forward this year?

Bruiser Booker

*with Rashard sliding to SF, Thornton, Howard spelling each of them, and Seraphin beginning to get 10-15 CONSISTENT minutes at center per game. As he does well or on nights when Javale gets into foul trouble, reward him with more minutes. I understand Armstrong does some nice things, but we need to get a handle on where Seraphin is at.

a 6'9 center and a 6'7 power forward??!

Good luck with that….

There are very few bigs in the league that can hit jumpshots over people on the low block.

and I’ve seen no problems with size when seraphin has been in at the 5.

Geting it done.

Blatche

but give more of his minutes to the other guys so there is essentially competition for the spot.

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

With the possible exception of Rashard,

no one the roster projects to play better than blatche with blatche’s minutes and shots. And Rashard doesn’t have a post game.

And we know where seraphin is at. He’s a raw rookie.

Rashard

Um honestly, Andray Blatche reminds me of a poor man’s Rashard Lewis they both don’t average 50 FG% but the big difference is that Lewis stretches the floor and can stroke the 3-ball. Not to mention that Rashard shoots better than Blatche, sees the floor better than Blatche and you are making an egregious statement by saying that he has no post game.
He may not be the best rebounder but I can say that he rebounds and plays defense better than Blatche. Andray needs to be traded while he still has value.

just to clarify

I’m not saying I hate Andray, I just don’t like it when he settles for bad shots and forces shots. If he can put together a string of good games and show improvment I think we won’t trade him

Even so,

get big fella in there. Let’s determine what his tendencies are, what he does well, and what areas he will need to focus on in the offseason to improve. We/he need tape on him to dissect, grade, and analyze.

Our Starting Power Forward again Philadelphia Last night- Why did he play 40 minutes?

40 minutes played
6 rebounds
1 free throw

Enough said. Time to move on with another plan for the Starting Power Forward spot.

Exactly

How are you a 4 who played for 40 minutes and get ONE free throw…

So you think good coaching is important ?

40 minutes is too much PT for most players, but if you’re not being productive, then its time for a change. (you think?)
