Pretty fair assessment and prediction.

I think they’re taking it for granted that Blatche won’t be an impact player this year. And maybe that’s fair, I dunno. But if by some miracle Blatche does play up to his potential, this will be a competitive team that could be in the hunt for a playoff spot. Arenas is going to play well. Wall will play well, despite rookie mistakes, and the famed rookie wall (the rookie Wall hitting the rookie wall?). With Howard and Hinrich, I just don’t know what to expect, and so I don’t expect much of anything.

I don’t really agree with the assessment of Gilbert getting too involved. They need to realize that Gilbert is the only legitimate proven scorer on this team right now. Until Wall and Blatche prove otherwise on a consistent basis, Arenas will be looked to put points in the basket more than anyone else. I don’t think that is a hindrance on the team. I do, however, believe they have to balance things out more. As the season goes on, he should be less of a focus and Wall and Blatche should become a bigger part of the offense.
