So the Clippers were trying to land LeBron James
and plan B is…………………… Randy Foye?

Yes, but Randy Foye will allow them to save their money so that they can lure Melo

On a desperate search for Sunshine at Nats Park.

Very good trade for NY
Randolph is perfect for D’Antoni ball and gives them an actual good young player other than Gallinari, Azubuike’s underrated, and Turiaf is a guy who I always feel does more than the numbers (advanced and not advanced) suggest, plus he can guard centers. Knicks lineup is probably going to be
Douglas
Kelenna
Gallinari
Randolph
Stoudemire
with Chandler, Turiaf, and Barron off the bench. Not great, but not bad. They still desperately need a point guard or solid playmaker, but at least they’ll be fun to watch and have a shot at the eighth seed.

I actually like that trade for the NYK
I guess GSW couldn’t get them to bite on Ellis.

So we gave up a top 5 draft pick last year for what again?
"However, the true greatness of the Ravens’ line lies in their malevolence, led by right end Haloti Ngata. Simply put, Ngata can’t be blocked by mere mortals. He is not a product of the human species. He is really a creation of a building contractor, made of cinderblocks and some type of flesh-like covering. Throw in Kelly Gregg at nose tackle and behemoth rookie Terrence Cody and you have something truly frightening."
The chance to get Mike Miller and Randy Foye
lead us to a 26-56 record…..
and the privilege of waving good bye to them at the first opportunity for them to leave….

Is there anything positive to that deal we made though, or did we just throw away a top 5 pick for two duds? Is this a typical Ernie move?

No – nothing positive, unless you count the fact that since the Wizards stunk, they were in the Draft Lottery….
And NO – that was not a “typical” Ernie move – that was a typical Abe Pollin move.

Well we also dumped Songalia's contract

Most important...
we cleared $10 million or so worth of Etan and Pech money.
I like Songaila but it would be hard not to argue that outside shooting aside, we ultimatey got a good replacement for him in Singleton (whom I hope we re-sign).
Miller was actually pretty decent, and we probably would have kept him (or made a bigger effort, at least) under other circumstances. But we’ve opted for youth and he’s opted to go back to the state where he starred in College and do the laundry for the ultimate Big 3… It is sort of scary to realize that Miller and Haslem will be the first two men of the Heat bench…
Foye, a lovely guy, a definite NBA role player and we rolled the dice that he would be somewhat more… and he just did not have the goods.
I’m not defending the deal and certainly its outcomes were in the next to worst case range… but the rationale for making the deal was still not that terrible a business decision at the time.
And speaking of who playes the 3 in addition to Thornton and maybe a lttle bit of Trevor Booker… the Heat let Dorell Wright go to GSW for nice contract. Ryan Gomes is going to LAC. TOutlaw is going to work for the Roosky in NJ.
The Wiz seem to be waiting on summer league and maybe seeing if they can still sign JHoward at the end of the day, thought they do have the money to go after JChildress (along with many other teams).
