Where is this team going?

Hey everyone,

I'm not a huge basketball fan by any means -- I'm more of a casual Wizards fan. So let me premise by saying that this post is not a criticism of the Wizards, but more of an open inquiry.

OK, so I've been reading a lot of comments here (I'm a recent member of Bullets Forever) and from what I can gather, our new owner is a very savvy businessman -- but I already know that...The Capitals are a pretty good hockey team, right? I've also read a bunch of comments saying he wants to build through the draft, and numerous searches on Google have yielded no further information on that front. There you first question: What does Leonsis want to do? Is he really building through the draft?

I have to be honest, I'm exceedingly confused by the free agency talk on here, and I'm overwhelmed and baffled by the basketball knowledge a lot of you possess. It makes me feel bad that I haven't watched the Wizards in some time because I did used to be a die-hard fan. I used to go to games all the time, but I've been so busy that really all I do is read an occasional game recap on Yahoo Sports. But I digress -- I needed to get that out.

Now onto my second question: If he is indeed building through the draft, do you think Leonsis did a good job in the 2010 draft? I'll gladly admit that I did watch the draft for about five minutes, and those five minutes were solely spent watching David Stern say: "With the first pick in the 2010 NBA draft, the Washington Wizards select John Wall." I can safely say to myself that was a great pick, and I have abundant support for that notion on Bullets Forever. But after that, I'm clueless. Did you guys like the picks and trades that followed John Wall?

My third question: I briefly watched those commentators on ESPN talk about how Arenas and Wall would play together yadda yadda yadda (I don't much care for ESPN)...but I quickly tuned out and turned off the TV. It's obvious -- or maybe not, but I'll stay the course of the first thought -- that Wall will play point guard, right? And I know that Arenas was (is?) a point guard, so how is that going to work? Is he going to move to shooting guard, and how will he adjust if he does?

Continuing on the Arenas subject, do you think we should trade him? If so, where? If not, why not? If he does stay, do you think Wall and Arenas can play well together? Yeah, I think that last question has been answered tirelessly, but I want to know the answer anyway!

I've been reading a lot about Ernie Grunfeld's incompetence as a GM, but I want to know why. What has he done that's so bad? Judging from the volume of comments criticizing him, I thought I could get a straight answer, hopefully without seeming too stupid. Do you think Leonsis will eventually fire him and subsequently replace him with a more qualified person?

My last question is one that will be answered in the coming days, but I'll ask it as a foreshadow. Which free agents, if any, do you think the Wizards will sign? Which current free agents do you think will benefit the team most, and also fit into the team's plan?

Well, that's all. Thanks in advance for your answers, and I'll try my best to gain more knowledge in the future so I can make intelligent comments.
