Washington Wizards rescinded Cedric Jackson's qualifying offer, but not Cartier Martin's.
Qualifying offers can be rescinded without needing a player's permission up until today. After today, the player must give their consent.
Sham Sports. This is another sign that the Wizards are considering keeping Martin. Basically, the qualifying offer allows the team to match any contract offered by another team to Martin. If no contract is offered, Martin can play out next season at his qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent in 2011.

I am watching the game after the Solja Boy game on ESPN Classic
This current Wizards team by default will play better defense.
That 07-08 team was maddening to watch at times as they gave up ball time and time again.
And finally how did Stevenson ever get that ugly jump shot to go in.
I'm liking Cartier more and more
He’s a hard worker, team-focused, stopgap with upside who learned the hard way that potential doesn’t get you to the top and has the confidence to speak truth to power while being respectful. Sign him. Sorry, Cedric.
i have no idea who cedric jackson is
as a diehard fan, i am ashamed.

One of the many people they paraded in following the trade deadline
PG they signed in April (10-day) contract.

did he hit that game winner against the pacers
to “ruin” our draft lottery position?
if so, we should give that dude a contract. we owe him!

We wouldn't have gotten Wall if it wasn't for Ol' Ced
He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Cleveland State right?
Bigger PG that can D up fairly well. At this point, basically a much poorer man’s John Wall.
Cartier Martin is undoubtedly going to stay...
moreso now that M Barnes is going to LALA Land.
Screw it,
let’s go with a 5 man roster.

Cartier Martin
is our modern day version of Ledell Eackles
by JefferyWGardner on Jul 24, 2010 9:20 AM EDT via mobile reply actions
He's in better shape than Ledell ever was....
and his shot selection is more conservative…. But if he can ignite some offense off he bench and make the crowd cheer a bit more often than it groans, then he will have reached Ledell-dom. Ledell was one of my all-time Bullet favorites and I was glad that the team gave him a job in community relations! Hope he is still around in the new regime.
Extension?
If he plays out this year on his qualifying offer and plays well will we have the opportunity to offer him a deal before he hits UFA?
