So are the Wizards going the Grizzlies/Thunder Route?

Because that is a 3-5 year plan. And in comparison to the Thunder.....

Dump veteran contracts ----- check
Get a superstar number 1 draft pick ------ check
Trade veterans for draft picks ------ check

I'm sure everyone has thought about this, but young players have to find their way in the NBA and that can take a few years (though I think Wall is a sponge and may take less time). I think the Wizards have a good coach and an excellent owner so hopefully if the Wizards look good this coming season they can attract some good players via free agency in the coming seasons.

Also, are the fans that patient?

And bonus question.......How does Ernie Grunfeld compare to their GMs?
