Around SBN: In Crunch Time, Spurs Don't Change Their Game

CSN Washington has some video of John Wall working out as he prepares to be drafted. You might want to stand back from your keyboard once you hit the play button. Slobber takes an incredibly long time to dry out of one's keyboard.

I'm excited

The more I hear about Wall the more I think he has that IT factor that only a few have. Seems some have the drive but not the immense talent while its vice versa for other players. Wall seems like he has both!

John Wall

Wears the same backpack as me. For this reason I can only assume that I’ll be the presumptive Number 1 pick in the 2012 draft.

Who still wants Ricky Rubio?

My swag was phenomenal.

who was that again? i swear i’ve heard that name before… LOL

by pick1 on Jun 6, 2010 2:38 AM EDT up reply actions

Evans, Rubio, Flynn, Curry, Jennings, Holliday, Lawson

A stacked PG guard class for sure, but I would take Wall over all of them in a second.
Livingston can fits right in with that group. Grunfeld has really lucked out.
Its and embarrassment of riches after having a tough time finding anyone who could play the position. I can’t wait to see flip pull out that 3 guard lineup next season.

The question is not whether you'd rather have Ricky Rubio or John Wall.

The question is whether you’d rather have John Wall or Ricky Rubio+Evan Turner/Whatever you can trade the #1 for.

by hibachi on Jun 6, 2010 5:17 AM EDT up reply actions

Definitely rather have Wall than Rubio and Turner

Thats 2 average players/ all stars vs 1 Superstar. I mean we had 3 allstars before, and where’d that get us? I’d rather have a franchise changer.

I don't know...

Rubio to Favors would be the Nash to Stoudemire

by DaGribb on Jun 6, 2010 10:48 PM EDT up reply actions

the question was and always has been would you rather have ricky rubio or mike miller and randy foye for a year or any other player that came out of the draft after the fourth pick

I suppose if we’re going to obsess about these things, then we can’t forget that Songaila was part of the trade. We’ll see what the Wizards end up doing with that extra cap space.

Not to beat a dead horse, but if (and I know people still consider it a long shot) we were to convince Lebron, then trading the #5 pick for Miller and Foye will be considered the best decision we ever made.

Wall's Shot

Is there any reason to be concerned about Wall’s outside shot? It looks like a set shot.

That’s the same thing that stood out to me in the video.

Arenas or Wall

one on one right now…who you taking?

by DaGribb on Jun 6, 2010 10:50 PM EDT reply actions

Though

Arenas or Wall…hmmm
well Arenas has deep range. He has proven that. Where Wall has explosiveness to the bakset. Its a though question. Maybe Wall 1on1 but i still want both of them on the wizards next year.lol

by Ateneo on Jun 7, 2010 12:57 AM EDT up reply actions

Wall

With Arenas’ defense Wall will destroy him.

by Crum on Jun 7, 2010 7:52 AM EDT up reply actions

Arenas gets lost on defense

or falls asleep. In a one on one he wouldn’t be as bad. I’m taking Arenas

by DaGribb on Jun 7, 2010 8:17 AM EDT up reply actions

Arenas

If he starts to lose, Gilbert will change the rules.
