I was arguing with my 9 year old son this morning telling him that Kobe was better than Lebron. I was telling him that Lebron lacked the killer instinct that Kobe has. Recent suggestions that Lebron should join the Wizards gave me a sick feeling in my stomach. The hated Lebron James on the Wizards was unimaginable. However...
If you are Lebron James...which team do you think would give you the best chance at cementing your legacy and winning multiple championships?
The Cavaliers? They seem pretty ham-strung financially. They have two aging centers in Shaq and Big Z. Mo Williams is streaky. Delonte West has bipolar disorder and is facing serious legal charges (though I like his game alot). Jamison cripples you on defense. Anthony Parker will be turning 35 next month.
The Knicks teaming with Wade or Bosh? Teaming with Wade in D'Antoni's offense sure would be tempting. Wade would be your closer.
The Bulls with Noah and Rose? And Jordan's legacy hanging over your head?
Or the Wizards with Wall, Arenas and Blatche? Imagine Haywood returning as well. From a longevity perspective its a much better situation for James. The championship window would be open much longer than the Cavs.
As a basketball fan how well would Lebron work on the Wizards? Would Lebron be able to transition from being the point forward and primary ball handler to a more traditional small forward? Imagine John Wall throwing Alley-oops to Lebron and Lebron throwing oops to JWall. Imagine Arenas sniping from outside or driving the lane. Imagine the pick and roll with John Wall, Lebron, and Blatche.
Aside from your feelings as a Wizards fan and Lebron hater, how well would this work from a basketball standpoint?
Does Washington give Lebron his best chance at a championship?
