No Lebron. Yes Durant. and why i love this site

Last time I posted was when I was still hyped up about our victory over the Mavs, first game of the season. After that, I figured that all I could add was more grief to the already sour comments that flooded the site. This website is great. Much praise to the steady work of the crew. You keep me excited about the Wizards.

Having said that, I DO NOT WANT LEBRON. What a complete surrender to everything that is the Wizards fan. We would be forced to cheer for the enemy and ultimately destroyer of what was our best team in 30 years.

Let me rephrase this, would you rather (if this were possible) acquire Sidney Crosby from the Penguins or beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs? As a caps fan, what would be more rewarding? I understand that the Wiz are not the team the caps are, but why are we willing to embrace Lebron on the eve of his biggest collapse ever? When the rest of the world finally agrees with us about the character of Lebron James, why now have we decided we want him? I rather lose trying to beat him than win giving in. We have every other player in the league to shoot for.

That being said, next year Kevin Durant potentially becomes a free agent. I know right now he has a good thing happening in OKC, but we are his hometown. We have John Wall. We have a big market. We may even have a resurgent Arenas and even more cap space. I would love to see a line up of Wall, Arenas, Durant, Blatche, and McGee. This gives a year for the WIz to shake the season of sorrows. This gives a year for Wall, McGee, and other young players to develop and gel. Finally, it gives a year for Leonsis to brand his team, his way.

No Lebron. Yes Durant. And I still love this site.
