Irene Pollin will represent the Wizards @ the NBA draft lottery. Ted Leonsis & Ernie Grunfeld will also be in Secaucus, N.J. hoping for luck
Michael Lee. I guess the Wizards listen to Jon after all.

why Irene?
Ted should be the one up on stage! A brand new ownership bringing a new start to a horrible franchise…Ya’ll know what this means…we’ll either dredge up all the bad karma and get the 8th pick or Stern will be so moved by Irene sitting there we’ll get the first pick!!!
I guess we’re all in!!!!!
Really I think the answer was Hoops
to show that this franchise really has risen from the dead.

In case anyone needs any additional evidence that Wilbon has no clue what he is talking about
from his chat today:
“There are plenty of teams, the ones with an established point guard, who would take Evan Turner of Ohio State with the first pick because he’s 6-foot-7 and can play multiple positions and seems more polished than Wall, perhaps because he’s played three years of college basketball, as opposed to one year. If I’m running the Wizards and win the lottery, I take Turner if I’m going to keep Arenas. Turner can also play small forward and give you uncommon versatility. But if the New Jersey Nets are picking first, it’s Wall, right? They can trade Devin Harris…or even keep him as a shooter if LeBron goes to the Nets.”
Ted doesn't own the team yet because
the sale has not been finalized. (Unless I missed the news.) Maybe Irene decided she wanted to go because she is basically still the legal owner of the Wizards.
