One of the greatest players in Washington Wizards/Bullets history is finally going home to his rightfully destination. 6'6" 235lbs PF Gus "Honeycomb" Johnson finally was voted into the 2010 Basketball Hall of Fame today after years of waiting. Gus was elected posthumously and will join former teammates Wes Unseld, Earl Monroe, and Elvin Hayes and Wizards/Bullets in the Hall of Fame and also have their jerseys hang in the rafters at Verizon Center. Gus Johnson played during a time before many of you younger fans were born. His game was very similar to LeBron James in that he was a very powerful yet graceful player that game was definitely "ABOVE THE RIM." A great rebounder, passer and highly underrated defender, he was also one of the games 1st showman (broke 3 backboards during his career). Finally, the star in the tooth, do everything, showman is where he belongs!
