Two league sources said that team president Ernie Grunfeld – who didn't return a voicemail left for an interview request – has a good relationship with Leonsis, who already owned 44 percent of the Wizards. And given Grunfeld's past successes of dismantling and reshaping teams in New York and Milwaukee into contenders, the same league insiders expect him to remain as team president. But Leonsis does figure to be involved, and he is reportedly eager to get the deal completely finalized by June 1 so he can have a say in the Wizards' draft process.
