"I watched the Wizards game last night," he noted. "I was very pleased. It didn't go the team's way at the end, but boy, young kids, lots of energy, playing with heart and passion. We're in very productive conversations with the Pollin family and estate and I won't change my messaging: we already own 44 percent, we have lots of rights, the conversations are positive. And I'm expecting that sometime, hopefully soon, we'll be announced as the majority owners of the team, and we'll do our best to continue to build a team that everyone's proud of."

Future looking brighter
Leonsis becoming all but certain, Blatche,McGee, Thornton stepping up, and the Wizards upcoming addition has improved as well over the past four games (2.5 games out of fourth seed in 2010 lotto playoffs). Nothing better for a lotto team than future players performing well while still losing! Go Wizards

And...
The Wizards version of the replacements with the D-League guys (Harris and Gee) and Livingston is another exciting element. Hope Gee is as terrific a dunker for the Wiz as he was for my Crimson Tide.

Leonsis
If he can be even half as successful with the Wizards as he has been with the Capitals, we should all be thrilled. Great “hands off” owner with DC ties.
Livingston
Is he on our team for the remainder of the season or has his 10 day contract not run out yet?
i heard it live
the question he was responding to was something like ‘give us an update on your purchase of the wizards’. it sounded to me like he was dodging the question a bit, but it was good that he didnt have any bad news i guess
Give the man the team already
He’s going to get it, if he wants it, guaranteed. And he wants it.
Leonsis is the anti-Snyder. You see whose team is doing better the past few years.
