...On behalf of my team and the entire organization, thank you for your continued support of the Wizards.
When I was hired during the summer as your head coach, I had high expectations for what this team could accomplish. Coming into training camp, enthusiasm was high and many media outlets were picking us to finish among the top teams in the Eastern Conference. When I talked to fans during the preseason, there was a sense of optimism that the Wizards were going to be back on top where we belonged.
Unfortunately, this season has not lived up to the expectations that you and I shared. It has been filled with numerous disappointments, including the passing of our beloved owner and patriarch, injuries to key players and an off-court situation that caused unprecedented distractions and disruption to the entire organization. But I am not using those things as excuses. Our results on the court have simply not lived up to my standards. I am certain that they have not lived up to yours, either.
We will continue to work to make up ground this season to return to the playoffs, a goal that is not yet out of reach for us in the Eastern Conference. Perhaps more importantly, we will continue to work to make sure that we are establishing a future for this team that reflects the vision that I had for them when I accepted the job as head coach. I have taken two different teams to the Conference Finals and I’m confident that I can instill the winning attitude and championship mindset in this team that is required to get to that level (and that is deserved by our loyal fans).
When we reach that level, I want to make sure that you are there with us. The unwavering support from our fans while we’ve battled adversity has been the most rewarding part of the season for me and my players. I can only imagine what the support will be like when we have this team competing at the highest level. I look forward to accomplishing that goal together and seeing you at Verizon Center when we do.

got my letter yesterday
i’m probably in for next year since they deeply discount season tickets, otherwise, it would be hard to justify paying face value for games you could buy on the secondary market for pennies on the dollar … what are other season ticket holders doing
I am really undecided.....
I got my email yesterday as well. I did not even click the link to see about the plans & prices… Now I want to see what kind of doscounts they are talking about…. I NEED to know who & what will be on the floor before I open my purse for next season..
Ok...
The full season plan for my seats are the same price… Yes, it is a VERY excellent discount vs. face value. And why is the invoice due date April 2?
Any Way to Post the Video Message From Flip?

I’m not a season ticket holder, but I’m curious what additional things he had to say in this message.

Mine was customized
It featured Flip with my account manager. It was clever, but I didn’t want to post it here and embarass her.
I feel bad for Flip that he has these sorts of pandering messages sent out in his name
Although of course he is well-compensated to do so.
It is rather illuminating, though, since the team usually selects its most respected and popular person to send out messages like this, and I guess Flip “won” this one by default.
If I were a season ticket holder, I wouldn’t be sending a check to anyone until the ownership situation was resolved.
i hope we fit players around flip
that fit his vision this time. looks pretty clear we’ve already committed to him. he’s the face of the franchise apparently.

Why Not?
He’s got a very good track record and he signed a big contract before the season started. Plus, he never took guns into the locker room. Makes sense that he’d be the face of the franchise.

if they're giving discounts already
does that necessarily mean they’re keeping payroll low next year?

The Season Plan Discount....
The discount comes from the difference the plan holders pay vs. the individual ticket price at the gate…. The plans were nto discounted from last season (from what I see)
season ticket discounts
I’ve had a $15 upper level season ticket for about 6 years now. So they’ve been discounting them for quite awhile now. I love the price.
With Gilbert apparently coming back, Blatche, ....
… the new energy players… Thorton and Singleton… cap room to get a good free agent….and maybe a lottery pick…. I plan to buy season tickets again.
