After a weekend of exciting college hoops, I'm still happy to watch some NBA tonight. I doubt we win, but it'll at least be a good effort. I think.
Andrew Bynum's out for LA, so I'm guessing Pau starts at center.
GO WIZARDS!

I hate the idea of just adding a Los to make them Latin
The jerseys don’t say “The Lakers”, it’s just “Lakers”. It should be, I don’t know, Lakeros or something. Aguitos?

We be building buildings here
Brick by brick.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Dunk of the season
At least that was the best non-Javale dunk.
by pantslessyoda1 on Mar 21, 2010 9:50 PM EDT up reply actions
I really didn't think he'd get up
That said, that dunk has to be the best way to end a career I can think of
by pantslessyoda1 on Mar 21, 2010 9:50 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah, I was shocked he got up okay
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Fabricio Oberto looks, umm, interesting
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Can we please try attacking the basket?
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
He's having a highest pass competition with Derek Fisher
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
It's Noche Latina...
…and “Los Lakers” are rocking an alternate name and a badge. The Wizards…nothing. Didn’t they get the memo?
Why did JaVale get such a quick hook
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Because Gasol will eat him alive?
I think Marc Gasol went 10/10 from the field against him. I agree, though, that we should just play him anyways.

Ok, while I don't like this lineup's proclivity for turnovers
I do like that our shortest player is 6’7. If we’re not going to be good, let’s at least stay interesting.
It's crazy, but sometimes he looks short and other times he seems huge
Like, I remember a game last year against the Cavs where he looked like he matched up perfectly with Lebron.

I think he plays small
Shoots a lot of fadeaways and such.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Please James
Don’t let Artest do that shit to you again
I know it's optimistic, but I really can't wait until Singleton doesn't have to create offense
A healthy Gil combined with Dray and maybe Evan Turner would do wonders for our offense. Wes Johnson was a monster today, but I would much rather get someone who can create a shot.

I hope we get to pick way before Aldrich

Cole Ostertag should go around 8-10
We’d like to be somewhere around 1-3
I think he prefers Cole Przybilla
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I'm hoping we get one of the first 4 picks
by Palace of Good Play's Golden Toilet on Mar 21, 2010 10:07 PM EDT up reply actions
I think if it were by record, we'd get the fourth or fifth now.
So pencil us in for eighth. I swear, I just know that Philly’s going to win the lottery this year.

Lakers feed just went 100% Spanish

That was a nasty crossover.
Shannon Brown (who’s got decent lateral quickness) was about eight feet from him after it.

Foye picking up where he left off
in Portland
by Palace of Good Play's Golden Toilet on Mar 21, 2010 10:09 PM EDT reply actions
I know it's not really a popular opinion
But I REALLY like Foye a lot. He’s a perfect sixth man and don’t even mind him playing the point under certain circumstances. He’d actually be perfect in LA playing the Fisher role.
by pantslessyoda1 on Mar 21, 2010 10:11 PM EDT up reply actions
He'd need to get over himself and sacrifice shots
But assuming he could, he’s the right kind of guy for that team.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I really like Foye
Him and Brandon roy being the only players i’ve watched through college (weird coincidence huh). But he doesnt seem to have found himself yet
He needs to learn to be himself while playing off others instead of pounding the dribble
Someone somewhere will get it through to him.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I agree, he's more poor man's Ben Gordon than poor man's Chauncey Billups
That said, he’s still a decent young player.
by pantslessyoda1 on Mar 21, 2010 10:15 PM EDT up reply actions
He's not that young though
I was confident they’d play him off the ball and he’d play the Nick Young role. Instead, they gave him the ball and all he does is shoot 22-footers.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Dray needs to take that one strong instead of fading
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
He didn't get his touches early, so he's forcing it now
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Funny that he chooses to do that when he's got two other guys on the court who can create a shot
I’d rather see him go gunning when he’s playing next to Singleton, Miller, Thornton, and Livingston.
by pantslessyoda1 on Mar 21, 2010 10:12 PM EDT up reply actions
You know what!!!
I’ve been noticing this also. ALLLLLL teams have done this, using players not usually in the rotation on days the Wizards visit
Dray should have dunked that
We need something to get the energy up
by pantslessyoda1 on Mar 21, 2010 10:16 PM EDT reply actions
My god, we can't even get the ball past halfcourt
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
WOW
Josh Powell scoring in the post???? Are we in agreeance that what the Wizards need most is a post presence?
Andray Blatche needs touches
And once he gets them, he needs to make strong moves.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Can we fine the other 4 guys on the floor
Every time Miller has to gurad Kobe?
Pretty sure that's who Flip is putting on him
It’s either him or Thornton, and Artest would just pully Miller.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Or try Nick Young.....
Can’t be any worse than Miller is doing
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Or, zone
Flip’s answer to everything.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
They shoot too well
I’m really just venting my displeasure with Miller. We don’t have anybody that’s going to stay with Kobe, but Mike just a white flag.
I think Dray may finally have accepted that he's not a guard
I wonder how long it’ll take for McGee
I love watching Miller with his hand up
Like he might actually shoot or something
There you go
Push the ball once in a while.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I may just be different from you all
But i can’t even enjoy this one anymore. Wiz on pace for 70 again
You know
It’s one thing to give up a ton of points, but when you constantly aren’t scoring any yourself….
Any reason Gee hasn't seen the floor?
Or did I miss something when I was doing laundry?
His 3fg% dropped
He now is free to shoot to try to get it back up.

Are we officially everybody else's homecoming game now?
Seems like an awful lot of people for this game
Okay, so....
I’ve been back and forth and also was waiting on an article for this but, what is Washington’s biggest need?
Talent
I think we’re too early to think to ourselves “We need another frontcourt body” or “We need a scoring guard.” So much is in flux.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Catch 22
They give up tons of points in the paint (and everywhere else) but also lacks scoring . A scorer/closer is needed, and so is a post presence. Which is more important?
Whichever one is easiest to acquire
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
We need Dray and JaVale to continue to develop
We need Arenas to find the chip on his shoulder that he used to play with. We need a true presence on the wing. And we need somebody that’ll smack the other team around a little. I still say we start with ownership and work down.
Honestly
I don’t watch enough college hoops to answer the question
Same here
I really didnt start until draft conversations came around and i started watching Wiz’s potential draft picks. Cousins, Aldrich (sorry), Wall, Turner, Favors. Haha i just kept going from there. haven’t seen Wesley Johnson yet.
Johnson was a man today
But it’s the only time I’ve seen him
I liked him all year, but he was awful against Tech
Shumpert’s a great defender, but he was invisible past the 10 minute mark.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I say post presence
But i dont know who’s best in the draft. I thought it was Cousins but someone posted a profile on Favors on here suggesting he was better
Rook's a Favors guy
We’re posting his Cousins writeup tomorrow. I’m more of a Cousins guy but it’s close. Depends on what happens with Arenas.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I need to watch more tapes
Don’t worry though, we have plenty of draft threads coming these next few weeks.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
My sense is DeSean Butler is not an NBA player
Kyle can tell you a lot aout Varnado.

I don't know about him enough to judge
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
So feel free to share your impressions
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I like Shannon Brown
He’s a free agent this summer right? He could come pretty cheap.
Not a big fan
He seems bound to get overpaid.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I wouldn't throw cash at him or anything
But I like his toughness
Randy did a dumb thing to double off Farmar there
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
JACK NICHOLSON PUT HIS HEAD IN HIS HANDS!
WE’RE IN BUSINESS!
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Is 13 in a row still the franchise record?
It’s in danger
Streamers?
For beating the Bullets? It is homecoming….
Ooh, that's a big tanking battle
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
