Michael Lee talks about JaVale McGee
I'm doing power rankings for SBNation.com all morning, so feel free to discuss JaVale this morning. Here's a good article by Michael Lee on the subject.

Uhhhh.....you really think so Flip?
“He was in more situations that game than he’s been his whole NBA career, big situations,” Saunders said. “But it was a good learning experience for him, and the more he’s in that, the more it’s going to facilitate his development.”
Like we’ve been saying for the past two years….if the season is lost, let’s play the young guys and take our lumps, and strained tendons, sprained ankles and torn ACLs!!!!!
Music to my ears
Yeah, that quote was exactly what I was waiting for Flip to say. I understand the need for bringing it in practice and earning time on the court, but in situations like we have now with no hope for the playoffs (same as last year when all our veteran bigs went down), just throw ‘em in the water. I go a little nuts seeing Boykins get significant minutes for the same reason. Love the guy, great professional, and I know we’re thin at guard, but I’d rather have Livingston out there so we can evaluate and look forward to next year than having Boykins dribble down the shot clock.
i agree but common sense tells me to build into giving livingston his minutes to protect his knee- get back into the groove and build confidence…maybe that is what he is doing. i do think it is a perfect time to test out a bunch of NBDL players to see if there are any hidden gems. plus, they are cheap. we could rotate and test out about 5 of them this season

*cough*maybe they shouldn’t have signed someone who hasn’t played in two months*cough*
Ridiculous Upside, where developing talent and winning are not mutually exclusive.
torn ACLs?
Dude, go sacrifice a chicken right. Now.
There will be no joking about major injuries on this squad.

Prada, when doing your power rankings
dont jinx Blatche.
What we need is for him to continue to play well, but no one outside of DC to notice, and then, next year, sometime around Christmas when he is averaging 24 and 12, the mainstream media will jump all over him.
Seriously. The less hype he gets know the better.

Couple of teaser questions on the espn.com ...
Sheridan and Ford chats yesterday and today… plus he was “today’s best” on Daily Dime yesterday.
So much ink (so to speak) is spilled on the NBA that it is inevitable that a hot streak like Dray’s has to be noticed.
