Ouch
When it rains in philly apparently it pours. At least we have the skeleton of all things required to be a top notch experience?
true
this is the end of the post
Great arena + great neighborhood + lousy team + bored fans = average rating. There are a lot more fun things to do in DC than take in a Wizards game. Like take in a Caps game, for example. Or do everything around the arena. I mean, if you are DYING to see bad basketball, I guess you could go in. If you sit close enough, they may ask you to play.
I think it tells you a lot.and for the wizards fans cheering on other teams good plays or not getting involved at all I agree and hate it.I wish fans were giving just 50% of what warriors fans are.let stop it here

I'd rather they rated "atmosphere" that didn't depend on team performance.
The same team winning or losing by 25 would change that rating from game to game to game. What does describing atmosphere this way give me, their reader, that I don’t know already?
There definitely are differences in how teams present themselves that are independent of record and number of fans. Does the PA announcer play things cool, or does he (she? are there any shes in the league?) do up the whole “DEEEE-TROOOOIT BASS-ketball!” thing? Is the PA system in the arena attempting to drum up “DEE-FENSE!” with lame overamped things? How good are the various ways of displaying stats during the game, and is the scoreboard awesome, and how about the pre-game intros thing? And so on.
I’d much rather see a detailed description of that sort of stuff than learn from our reviewer that losing teams don’t draw. We all sorta anticipated that.
If you’re talking fans, maybe the stalwarts who’ve always been there could be part of a review. The virtuosic heckler behind the visiting bench who used to be a Sacramento institution, for example. (And yeah, maybe if fans of the other team got “beat down” that would get mentioned, ‘cause as a potential fan I need to know. It’d hardly be a positive part of the review, though. Keep that stuff in Philly.)
"It has come to the editor’s attention that the Herald-Leader neglected to cover the civil rights movement. We regret the omission."
It basically says its a great arena in a great neighborhood, with a bad team. If the same rating was done at a Caps game it probably would have been near perfect
Aim for the head baby Jesus
They did do one for the caps...
Scroll up and look at the NHL reviews. The only thing that wasn’t given a good rating was the access part. I think the Wizards got a 22 score and the Caps got a 32 score being in the same building…CRAZY!

I'll be back
I went to damn near every game through high school but I’m in college now and it’s tough to make it out so often but once I get out I plan to make my presence known at Verizon again and do my part to turn it back around.
Go Wizards!
SO PUT A GOOD NBA TEAM IN THERE !
There, that solved the problem.
