Washington Wizards at Denver Nuggets, Mar 16, 2010 9:00 PM EDT
My Internet is fixed, my cable is installed ... life's back to normal. Let's watch some Wizards basketball!
(I'll be shocked if we're competitive tonight).

good feeling
tonights gonna be a real good night..
i have a good feeling about this one, we match up real well with Carmelo Anthony imo. We shut him down tonight and this game is ours!! COME ON Livingston, etc!
yes
get inside the paint, and attack the rim. Blatche and McGee are key!
I'm a HUGE Wiz fan - but 5th game in 6 nights...
the team’s legs must feel like jello….
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Yeah
It could easily be worse than last night. Revenge game and all.
yeah i'm not optimistic

Is it just me
Or does Dray look like he’s lost weight from all this PT? He’s got some pointy shoulders right now.
always liked coach karl
going back to his days with the crazy good sonics team. so – get well and good luck coach.

yeah - the Wiz have played good basketball for 7 minutes
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Wiz have had some pretty good man defense tonight so far
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
I especially liked Livingston's in-your-face defense on Billups last play
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Livingston can take away part of Billups game
the post up…. Usually Billups posts up about 4-5 times a game…
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Me too
Because he really does have great, great court sense on both ends of the floor.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
i'll take it
but that was a bad offensive foul call on billups

Billups uses his off hand a lot to get space....
They called him for it that time….

before nick young

Yeah a Young post is long overdue
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
the guy's definitely athletic
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
Foye is a SG
He would be good as a back-up Shooting Guard – as long as the starter is 6’5", 6’6" or bigger…..
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
He's a decent 18-24 minute combo guy
Mostly playing the two.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
God what a terrible pass by Mike
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
J.R. Smith is another guy I don't like
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Alonzo Gee would not have been called for that if he wasn't a D-Leaguer
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
he's shown enough to deserve a second 10-day
but I’m not convinced that he’ll be back after his current stint is up
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
Yeah - he seems to have a certain something
..I like his athleticism… and I like that he’s at least AWARE on defense.
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Not on that possession though
He didn’t slide and instead tried to block it.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I think the only one that can get away with that many steps
is a guy that plays in a garbage dump this year, but may be playing in a garden next year.
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Yeah, probably
But still, they called that one really quick
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
awful call
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
yeah - worst call i've seen

He jumped right into the defender
It was the right call. We just don’t see it much.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
he did
BUT the defender did not go straight up, and was at least as much at fault, IMO

Well - I've never seen it called against the OTHER teams....
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
I get that
But when is it EVER called that way?
When Al Thornton is involved
Phil’s right that it should be more consistent, but that was a particularly blatant case. Al jumped sideways.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Six inches sideways
vs. 6 inches forward from a standstill is the same thing to me.
Remember those couple games when the bench was a strength?
I miss those days
the two games after the trades
It was fun back then
Rex Chapman
You da man you da man.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Did Dray just call for the ball from Nick?
What the hell was he thinking?
haha he'll be waiting until next possession
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
kept his bearings after getting jarred
that’s what strength does for you, Dray. Well done
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
those long arms come in handy, don't they, JaVale
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
I just don't understand
how McGee’s offense can be so bad when it only takes two easy steps for him to get to the rim from the FT line.
by Palace of Good Play's Golden Toilet on Mar 16, 2010 10:11 PM EDT reply actions
because that's pretty much his offense right now
learning a baby hook could do wonders for him. Then again, I think every center should learn that move.
Livingston's one hell of a passer
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
the more I see him
the more I like him
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly
He has clear limitations
And I don’t think he’ll ever overcome him, but I’d love him as a backup point guard to somebody.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
i'd take him over foye as a back-up at the point with the way he's playing
"Guess you guys aren't ready for that yet... but trust me, you're gonna love it." ~Marty McFly

A part of me thinks Melo is self-checking himself by not being aggressive
Too much sizing up and isolating.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Yep - exactly the problem he had in the game at Washington
tried to force the issue, and disrupted Denver’s offense.
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Wow
Winning at haltime? Didn’t see that coming.
Missed the first half
Saw Gee getting some minutes. How is he playing?

javale
mcgee is being a real fantasy disappointment this week
f singleton i need javale to get minutes
Was Blatche woofing at Melo there?
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Chauncey seems really off tonight
Not anything we’re doing, he just seems out of it. That shot clock violation at the end of the half was really unlike him.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I hate it when we can't get buckets on three-on-ones

Uhh, no
He belongs inside, where he can play to his strengths.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Come on Mike
Instead of clearing out for Blatche, Mike just stood there. That doesn’t go in the stat sheet (in this case it does because Miller missed a shot), but if I’m Blatche, I’m really, really pissed. It gave him no room to operate.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
refs
these refs average 194/198/201 points a game respectively, thats why i bet the under.

would you want JR Smith on your team?

There should be an NBA test: if you let Anthony Carter drive by you, you shouldn’t be in the league.

If Boykins were a point guard
He could have gotten Gee that ball going strong to the rim. But alas…
Awful, embarassing, terrible, disgusting.
Too many bad things going on with this game.
Offensively stagnate, need to take some pressure off Blatche.
Officiating still leaving me confused.
We continue to go to Boykins in the third play extremely terrible (I don’t give a crap how positive his numbers are) then force us to battle back from 10 down.
This team is just really horrible. I just can’t see us competing in the next two-three years
Two notes
Mike Milller = The white Deshawn Stevenson
Nick Young = put in the game to create offense too little too late
Andray Blatche = it’s only time before he’s injured and needs knee surgery
Referees = what happened? I just see terrible calls, not only with wizards games but nearly all NBA games. Is college ball better refereed it seems like it?

well since I'm still a Deshawn defender
