Wizards lose their 8th in a row
The Utah Jazz are a very good team. The Washington Wizards are not. End result = blow out.
Surprisingly, the Wizards played well in the first quarter, sharing the ball and generally playing together. They had 6 assists on 9 made field goals and the game was tied at 25 after one quarter. After that, Utah simply ran their pick-and-roll game to perfection - and steadily pulled away to take a 14 point halftime lead.
The Wizards started to show tired legs in the 3rd quarter, as they shot a pathetic 3 for 20 (15%), and almost every shot was coming up short. On the defensive side, they stopped moving their feet and started reaching, committing 10 fouls in the quarter.
After that, it was garbage time, as the Jazz led by 30 after three quarters.
Stay tuned, this may not be the worst loss on the current road trip. They have to play Denver tomorrow, and remember that Washington beat Denver in Washington back on February 19th. The Nuggets will remember that game. Denver lost a close game to the Rockets tonight 125-123 (more fuel for Denver's fire).... and Washington will be playing their 5th game in 6 days. After that, they play at Portland and then at the Lakers. This losing streak could get ugly.

my girlfriend has an automatic response when i tell her
about the trials and travails of the 2009/2010 (actually 1983-present) wizards: “Poor Wiz” – end of discussion.
now i’m reduced to repeating her refrain. poor wiz indeed. this recent losing streak, including the current road trip, has the potential to be one of the most brutal, fan-testing stretches every witnessed.
luck has to change at some point, right? maybe the suffering has reached it’s apex and they are due for a #1 ping-pong ball? please!

My wife tells me I should...
root for another team. But she knows I can’t do that.
I am also hoping for a good draft. And for the successful return of Gilbert Arenas.
The rest of this season will be what it is.
Looks like we should see more of Livingston, Singleton and Gee, as they may all have useful roles to play for the next year or three. And for Dray to continue to show that he IS the real deal.
Meantime, thank goodness for March Madness… and even the NIT!
My gf
could not understand why I would continue to watch the game in the 3rd quarter.
Poor Wiz, indeed.
I tuned out at the end of last year but I will watch every game down the stretch just to see Blatche, McGee, and Livingston.

I'm rooting for cleveland to be sweep their way through east conference playoffs
that way lebron might do the right thing and use the leverage he has with nike and daniel stern to freak the #1 pick for us…after we handed him our last remaining asset on a platter (‘tawn)…the next wish is that we don’t accidentally draft kwame milic
