The Wizards play the Utah Jazz for the first time this year, and will play them again later this month at the Verizon Center. The Jazz just came off a tough road trip where they went 2-2; losing the last two games to Milwaukee and Oklahoma City. Both Center Mehmet Okur (back) and forward Andrei Kirilenko (calf) are questionable for this game.
This is an open thread, so everyone chime in.
UPDATE: According to Wizards Insider, Shaun Livingston will start in place of Randy Foye.... Interesting.

TERRIBLE – JaVale missed that put back attempt – and didn’t sprint down court – Okur beat him down for the lay up -AND ONE….
JaVale has to use his athleticism for more than just blocks and dunks… he’s gotta sprint back on D….

ugh -
league pass has shown me that there are 2 types of tv crews – ridiculous homers, and mild homers who know the other team a bit. jazz announcers are the former. so freaking annoying.

Foye comes in
and Utah has stolen the ball 3 times…. not all from Foye, but the Wiz just don’t seem to be able to get into their sets…. and there’s too much standing around… allowing Utah to pester the ball handler…

Rooting for the solid performances from the young guys, not the win
And rooting for the Pacers, Kings, Warriors, Sixers, and Clippers.
Wizards are 1 game behind Pacers for 4th and and 3.5 games behind Warriors for 3rd in the Lottery. Do you believe in miracles?

I’d like to see more JaVale BOXING OUT….. like against Okur on that last play.
I don’t think JaVale plays nearly as hard on Defense as he does on Offense

Move the wiz back to Baltimore
then change the name back to the bullets.

I missed most of this one
How’d livingston’s first start go? Box score says he had no assists. Does he look that bad?
Team looked good in the first quarter when he was running the show....
He didn’t have an assist, but the ball was moving, players were cutting… and the Wiz had 6 assists on 9 made field goals…
After that, Utah clamped down on their Defense

this road trip is going to be a mess. i don’t even think the players are going to get pissed. they’re just defeated, and it’s fairly understandable.
