He said, "the type of talent that keeps both teams in the game."
I have never heard that before, but boy does it apply to this team. I think it is a label that ’Dray can shake off at what is really the beginning of his career. But that quote is perfect for the era of the “Big 3” teams and especially sums up Gilbert perfectly. A blast to watch and will keep you in games but tends to dissapoint, because the other team is usually right there with you.
Let it snow- ping-pong balls, from the heavens.

That really is a quotable quote....
wish i had thought of it!
I still do NOT blame AB for the loss in Boston, however. He may have mixed it up with KG but he was not responsible for the damage inflicted by Ray Allen on our dubious backcourt at the end.
exactly
like I said before, Flip never whined about KG when he used to “whuff” at guys up and down the court, most notably Tim Duncan. I have no doubt that Blatche still has some growing up to do, but I have no problem with him standing up to himself against a barker like KG. I think that’s just as paramount to his transformation into NBA stardom. You don’t want to get the rep of being a guy who backs down.
Flip never whined about KG woofing
because that is KG’s game. Because it gives KG a competitive advantage.
Flip whined about Blatche’s woofing because that is KG’s game. Because it gave KG a competitive advantage.
I also have no problem with Blatche standing up for himself, but you cannot deny the logic of Flip’s point. Blatche gained no advantage, and may have actually lost the advantage he had by letting KG suck him in to a woofing match. Flip’s point was ‘if you’re not a natural woofer, let your game do the talking,’ and the best way to get under a woofer’s skin is by ignoring him.
Woof.
Its really this simple:
You want KG to respect you? Make the shot. Make the play. Win the game. Demonstrate that you’re not backing down by doing that. Not by barking back.
Yup, and that's one of the main reasons its such a favorable contract.
Score one for undercover cops!
