We just saw this team, so this preview's going to be brief. Since we last saw them, the Knicks lost by 21 points to Minnesota, so times aren't good in Gotham City.
As mentioned earlier today, Caron Butler won't play tonight because his left knee swelled up overnight. He originally hurt it in a collision with Paul Pierce on Monday, on a play with .8 seconds left in the first half that wasn't going to decide anything. I'll step down the ledge from my earlier "wtf no MRI" snide comment; as Kyle pointed out, you can't get an MRI until the swelling stops. At the same time, we know this team's history with injuries, and you'd hate for them to mishandle it and cause teams to get scared off from trading for Butler.
Of course, the conspiracy theorists will say Butler's being held out precisely because he's about to be traded. That's a fun theory, I won't lie.
I'm guessing Nick Young replaces Butler in the lineup. If that's not true, I'll update. Nevermind, Stevenson's starting. Psshhhhhh.
Anyway , 7:30 start, because New York is different.
GO WIZARDS!

Knicks tanking, get Utah GM on the phone!!!
Fine, Boozer can come as long as he brings his friend Mr. Unprotected Knicks draft pick with him.

Blech on starting DeShawn
Blech blech blech.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Goddammit, Antawn's wincing
Give him a break please.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
no joke
dude’s gotta take a game or 2 off at this point

Knicks have a good game plan defensively
Play 5 defenders on 4 Wizard’s players – leaving Stevenson completely alone…..
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
I hate how he's starting right now
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I never bought the "playing in New York bring out the best in ballers" theory
Exhibit A: this game so far.
Michael Lee reported that Flip met with him extensively yesterday
After Foye was pissed after the Boston game.
Link.
Kudos to Flip. He’s doing his job. Foye just doesn’t have the right makeup to play the position.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Wow - what a great end of quarter play
Dribble the ball for 12 seconds, and then throw a bad pass to Jamison with only 2 seconds left on the shot clock…..
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
if we had a point guard
i would be very interested in this lineup – miller young mcgee blatche + point guard

he's untouchable, remember?
so like you can’t even take him out of the protective plastic packaging for risk of getting him scratched up.

Anyone want to box out the midget?
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Nice move Dray
Why anyone goes for his up and under move, I’ll never understand.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Same question I ask about Jamison - and the same exact move
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
This will hereby be known as the "Growing Pains" lineup
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
"Earl Boykins, with nowhere to go"
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
ha - this is a great way pass the time

"Nick Young, shoots the fadeaway jumper"
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
"Caron Butler, with the pump fake"
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
"Jamison, shoots the THREEE and misses"
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
"Butler, trying to draw the foul"
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Mike Miller in the corner wide open, but no one saw him....
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Just wanted to point out Nick's great defensive effort on Gallinari...
resulted in a nice block.
NY also with the extra pass to MM for the open three.
Saw both of those...
also saw 72 year old Larry Hughes drive around Nick after a weak pump fake….
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
I expect to see that stuff in pickup games
Not in the NBA. Young started off pretty well, and I didn’t think that was that bad of a shot.
and stevenson is our defensive stopper
as evidenced by that play
To be fair, we rode the kiddie lineup for a while
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
yea, but it was working so why switch it?
Seems like Jamison is playing so awful lately

Wow
what great end-of-quarter plays we run………………..
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
jamison is our hardest player to trade at this point (gil not included)
due to age and contract…especially if we are trying to get any value back.
i suggest we unload his contract to the only team who will pay – the cavs….ASAP
just read it
if grunfeld can pull that off, he is my hero and i will take back all the crap i have said about him
on the ESPN Trade Machine it says Eddy Curry's contract expires this year
On there it’s $ 10,500,423 for 1 year. That’s wrong isn’t it?
Spike his drink!
Make it happen!
(Note: I do not support this action).
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
well lets trade for him 1st
then spike his drink
Wow Foye
Wow Jamison.
Haywood’s wide open and you both ignore him. Way to reward the big.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Haywood playing like he wants a contract next year
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
I wish our best young players weren't centers
because i really like Haywood, but since we’re not gonna be a contender anytime soon i guess it’s better to trade him to let Blatche and McGee develop
New six-letter phrase
“Stevenson shoots and that’s … … … well short.”
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
"Stevenson with the shot... WOW. He's saying he was fouled... maybe he was but, that's the weirdest rotation I have ever seen on a shot."
Courtesy of Mike Breen.
That's hilarious
Someone please upload that to YouTube.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Wiz have to stop playing Jamison...
I mean, he’s 2-6 with 6 points and 4 rebounds….
Every time he has a bad game like this, or the last few games, his trade value goes down….
Fake a slight ankle sprain or something….
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
If he keeps this up...
Instead of proudly hoisting a Championship trophy with Cleveland….. he’ll be the elder statesman on a team full of young guys… (probably his idea of Hell)
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Chandler's an interesting player
I’m having trouble figuring out what I think of him.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I think he's a natural SF, but
NY Plays him frequently at PF…. so it’s difficult to judge him… he gets overpowered by stronger PF’s….
But he’s definitely a super athletic guy….
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Seems like they play him at SG, not SF
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Knicks have a strange roster....
Lots of guys playing out of position…
Lee is a PF, playing Center
Gallanari is a SF playing PF sometimes.
Jeffries plays all over the place
and Chandler plays some PF, some SG and some SF (but he’s a natural SF- that’s an easier guard for him….)
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
I think of it as if they just don't do positions
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Yeah - especially on Offense...
but they have to guard someone….
and that’s where they get mismatched sometimes…
Gallanari, and Chandler are both better guarding SF’s
Lee is better guarding PF’s
Jeffries is best guarding perimeter players (SF, SG)
But all of those guys guard bigger, stronger players at times; out of necessity
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
shades of Isiah Thomas
he always wanted a team of “players” who could do a lot of things well and be interchangeable.
Shoot the ball Mike!
There are two seconds left on the shot clock. Two seconds!
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Mike Miller of the Wizards wants to be known as more than a shooter
It’s like the movie Major League Two when Charlie Sheen started throwing half-ass curveballs and sliders instead of just fastballs (which is what he was good act).
Personally
I think he’d be better off channeling his inner “Wild Thing” so opposing players remember why they should be sticking him and not expecting him to pass
Mike Miller with the Eddie Jordan defense
Help on Jared Jeffries driving to the basket, leaving Danilo Gallinari wide open for three.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Seeing AJ sulk around the court is ugly.
Really really ugly.

blatche is best player on the floor for us again
lets make sure we get him out
Time to start blaming the young guys
for the unprofessional attitude -
THAT’s why this team is losing….
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
Rook,
Have you tried calling EG with your trade ideas yet? Why hasn’t he pulled the trigger?
Sincerely,
Craig
They quit
No other way to put it.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
They did quit
The last few minutes of basketball were ridiculous. Everybody was just out there doing their own thing.
NJ is bad...
but at least they have some nice young pieces – and they are PLAYING them…..
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
i think this will be the end of the road for flip tonight
he may get loaded and stay behind in NYC
Good thing Oberto is getting these garbage minutes instead of Mcgee
Cuz we really want Oberto to develop and get better, he’s our future, Javale can wait
yeah, i realized that to late
still no need for Oberto to be in though in my opinion. Our garbage time lineup should be Foye, Young, Dom, Blatche, and Javale

WHEW
Thank god the Wizards pulled that loss out. I was getting worried about them screwing up their lottery chances.
Wait until Gil gets healthy and comes back...
shit, that doesnt work anymore.
