Interesting Reading
But I didn’t really get a feeling that he’ll work out better for us than Vladimir Veremeenko. I guess it doesn’t hurt to stockpile Euros, though. It’s possible one of them can work out for us.

I think it's pretty clear that this kid
is the second coming of Laron Profit. Or Kevin Arnold from “Wonder Years.”
Wonder if he Daniel Stern's voice in his head... with Bosnian accent

a summer league invite couldn't hurt
it’s not like we don’t have the roster space for another prospect, assuming he’s at all ready for the muscle of the nba, which sounds like his biggest downside

Oh no Preldzic is NOT Veermeenko...
The Turkish team he starts for is quite good, and his numbers are pretty impressive for Europe.
By way of reference, his team is pretty much at the same level (top tier in one of the stronger national leagues and one of the first round of 24 in the Champions League) as the Milano team that James Singleton played for three years ago and actually a bit better than the teams Brandon Jennings and Ricky Rubio played for last year. (Ricky is with Navarro and Vasquez on regal FC Barcelona this year and they are the class of Europe, likely Euro Final Four winners.)
Veermeenko and our other Eatsren European friend, Pech, played at a much less sophisticated level of European Ball and even so, their numbers did not even compare to Preldzic.
Try to think of it like college: Spain is the ACC, Italy is Big East, Turkey is MAC, Ukraine is Division II. The European Champions League is somewhere around the NCAA Round of 16 and a bit better than the D-League.
Definitely, this guy should be invited to Summer League. He may surprise the heck out of you. Obviously, Cleveland does not need a point forward (yet) but if Preldzic comes in around Carlos Delfino, Jonas Jerebko level, that aint half-bad.

It's called Euroleague
European Champions League is soccer one. And Euroleague level is much higher then D-League, IMO Barcelona would beat today Wizards without much problems.
It's actually also called the Champions League...
emblazoned on the courts and such
Depends on the rules
Using NBA rules, I’m taking the Wizards. Using FIBA rules, we’d have no chance.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
more than a throw in
The biggest question I’ve seen on him is what position he guards. Lack of athleticism could keep him in Europe over the long term.
Sounds like he has the instincts though. He’s not just the result of high quality Balkan youth skills camps.
The most interesting thing in this article had nothing to do with Emir Preldžič
It was the statement, “Rubio’s Euroleague stats look pretty pedestrian”, and link to stats. 6 ppg, 2.6 rpg, 4.7 apg, averaging 20.31 minutes per game. Yeah, that’s the guy who could’ve turned the Bullets around. That trade for Miller and Foye makes me so mad!
Yea, but Kukoc could shoot the ball ...

Kukoc Ultra-Lite, then?
He can work on his outside shot – and he’ll have to add at least a little muscle as well. IMHO he’s worth a look.
