Wizards/Twolves trade idea

Enjoy the site, hopefully things can get better, cause they can't get any worse, right?

(Assuming Arenas is traded or bought out)

Here is a trade proposal

Ramon Sessions for Fabricio Oberto, Nick Young, and Earl Boykins

The Wizards can't depend on winning the lottery. Even if the wizards win the lottery and get John Wall, Sessions would be a great backup PG. Sessions has proven in limited minutes that he can be, at worst, a good NBA PG. He has a resonable contract and has an opt out in the final year of his deal.

The Twolves would get a potential starter in Nick Young and two expiring contracts with Boykins and Oberto. Boykins would be a capable backup PG for the Twolves to get through this season. They would be able to get out of Sessions contract and spend more money on the off-season.

The wizards need draft picks and young players on short-term contracts. They would get a chance to see if Sessions can be a keeper.

Would appreciate your thoughts, ideas.

not the worst idea!!!!

1. we are keeping arenas and hopefully draft cousins, who is the better pro prospect.

2. sessions will be a great back up and a step up from bykins. not worth nick youngs loss. He reminds me of a caron butler earlier in his nba career. you trade him in his 4th year and then he will break out. he is a capable 20+ scorer, sessions is not.

3. oberto and boykens will siffice because they drafted flynn and rubio, who may be availabe to them next year. 3pg with talent? not happening. session is the odd man out. they lack a sg/sf then they are set.

the wiz will loose out in the trade. the wolves will take orbeto and boykens

I would do that trade

I had so much respect for Ramon Sesssions after this:

My hatred for Antonio Daniels peaked during this game and his lackaidaisical attempt to get to the ball. Sessions stole the ball, caused the jumpball, chased it down, called timeout, and hit the winning shot. What a game!

it was just refreshing to see a player play so hard on a lottery bound team

I think he had a 22 assist game soon after.

Ramon Sessions is not a starter, but he is worth having on the team in my opinion.

Sessions is good, and he's a guy worth going after

Fills the “cheap guy who could be a bargain” role, and I think he’s a perfect fit for Flip’s offense. Problem is, I don’t think this is enough for Minnesota. They signed Sessions to flip him, and I think they’ve got their sights set higher than this.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

I see them hoping to move him for someone bigger in a larger package

For example, they could move Sessions in a package for Andre Iguodala – I could definitely see that.

If not that, maybe they’d be interested in a Young/McGuire package.

Wouldn't mind Sessions.

But I’m not sure why Minny does this.

Timberwolves will have to make some roster moves

They have 3 First round picks and 3 Second Round picks….

They most likely will allow the contracts for Mark Blount, Brian Cardinal, Oleksiy Pecherov and Sasha Pavlovic expire… but I would imagine they would want to re-sign Damien Wilkins (and maybe Nathan Jawai)

That leaves them with 9 or 10 roster spots filled…. and 6 Draft picks… (assuming they keep them all)….
