What can a player do in 3 to 4 years to be an unwelcome guest on an NBA Team? We are learning for the Wizards that a young man must do an extremely amount of bad will to get an unwelcome mat.
If a young player with alot of upside had say:
3 driving violations on a SUSPENDED License
Solicitating favors (from an undercover police office)
Would that be enough? How about we throw in that if the player as recently as last year REFUSED to go in a game. I have never heard of another player ever doing that, except recently I heard that our loveable Albert Haynsworth refused to go into the game during certain stretches. (You don't want to be in the same class as Albert Hayensworth).
Would that be enough? You say no?
I really love the pictures of Andray with all those kids at camp. Was it contrived? If it was he has a heck of an Agent. It must have worked because the Wizards turned around and gave Andray a 5 year extension worth $35 million smackers.
Funny what money does. The word is, a rumor, that the Wizards were not happy in Andray's play since they promised to pay him $35million. They apparently tried to trade him but to no avail. Really? You tried to trade a guy who you just gave $35 million a couple of months ago A guy coming off an injury. A guy that refused to go in a game last year (The wiz tried to spin it. Who are they kidding?). A guy who not once, not twice but 3 times drove on a suspended licence and got caught. All this within the last 4 years.
Now the worst. Andray is hanging out with our young stud Center. He has shown him the Club scene and has now participated in a fight against Javale McGee and now Javale was suspended. I don't care that Andray was suspended because I expect Andray to act with carelessness. It is in his past. Why would he change?
Ted I hope you read this. I know you won't because you gave yourself a moratorium against anything negative until the new year. For Javale, Trevor, Kevin and possibly the Game Changer himself, John Wall's sake I beg you to immediately release Andray from the team.
Sometimes you have to accept the fact that some people just do not change, and that keeping them around because you are hoping so bad that they will change will eventually backfire and the consequences will be so much worse. Why don't we ask Javale's mom what she thinks about her son getting in trouble hanging out with a delinquent NBA player?
