Yi Jianlian has sprained MCL, out 2-4 weeks

Stay connected for news and updates

The injury bug just keeps on getting worse.  It turned out the fall Yi Jianlian took against the Lakers last night is serious enough to keep him out for 2-4 weeks, at least according to what Craig Stouffer tweeted just now.

I suppose there will be some who think this is a blessing in disguise, given Yi's inability to get anything going this year.  There's nothing wrong with Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin getting more time, considering they likely factor more into the team's future than Yi does.  But it's still an injury that hurts depth, forces guys into more extended roles and hurts your ability to practice.

Oh, and John Wall is probably not playing on Thursday, and Andray Blatche may not travel.  I don't know who to blame for yet another season getting ruined by injuries, but it has to be someone, right?  The "medical staff" is an easy and fair target, but there has to be more to it than that, right?  Right?
