Community Projection: Hamady Ndiaye
With the season starting Thursday, we're giving you all a chance to predict how every player on the roster will do this season. Scroll down for more community projections.
Hamady Ndiaye is on the Wizards roster for now. The second-round pick is a goofy, fun guy that knows his role, which makes him a fan favorite. Whether he can play or amount to anything in the league remains an open question, but there was no reason to cut him yet.
Still, like Lester Hudson and Cartier Martin, Ndiaye has two months and change to prove himself. Will he do it? Predict as many or as few stat categories as you'd like.
- Games played
- Points per game
- Rebounds per game
- Blocks per game
- Minutes per game
- Field goal percentage
- Free-throw percentage
- True shooting percentage
- Rebound percentage
- Turnover ratio
- Usage rate
- PER
Bonus question: How much time will Ndiaye spend in the NBA Developmental League this year.

Wow, on that picture you can see just how tall this guy really is..
I like this kid. I dont like Armstrong. Seraphin is to short. So i hope he can take his place and be a defensive backup behind McGee. If he rebounds, blocks shots and can be a descent post defender he could stick around. Some times he doesnt seem to know where he should be on the court but i think thats just a matter of experience with NBA defensive shemes. This guy is the BIG East DPOY for a reason.
So how is it that a 7’0 DPOY is not a 1st round pick?! One might ask, well he has no offense. At. All. and turns 24 this season.

Saw Ndiaye practice a couple of weeks ago and was suprised by how agile he is..
I say stash him on the D-league roster and get him up to speed on the NBA game. I say do the same for Seraphin, but not sure if he would do it or not. They both need to play and at this point, think that is the only way they are going to get minutes.
