[T]he Bobcats are a team in desperate need of point guard help. Right now they have D.J. Augustin who's unproven, Livingston who's still nearly crippled after a horrific injury and Collins, a mediocre rookie. If [Crittenton] couldn't make it there, it's either the baggage, the talent or a combination of the two.

yeah that's kind of b.s.
i don’t think anyone playing PG in the NBA can be classified as ‘nearly crippled’.

That's the author's opinion... I don't think anything new happened to him
Again that is part of the danger when you comment from a distance and you do not cover a team closely. Clearly, he did not follow him closely during the second half of the season with the Wiz when his knee appeared to be just fine. He may never recover his full potential, but calling him crippled is going too far.

He's got knee problems. I don't think he's played yet this preseason.

i was psyched for him last year. seemed to be showing good to excellent play with some durability.

Thats too bad
I became a fan in his short stint with the wizards. I hope he can heal up and earn some minutes this year.

I think it's soreness and precautionary
but not a great sign in any case

wizznutzz had a fine tweet about this:
“Bobcats laid out a plane ticket, a train ticket, and a bus pass with a note that said “Choose one.”

It’s a little funny. Yeah, GunGate is and has been annoying, and I understand it’s his career being mocked, but that joke is at least clever.

also, before you feel too bad about it
I’m sure he has the opportunity to play abroad should he choose to where he can make a large salary doing something he loves

So we're supposed to take his career seriously?
He obviously wasnt too worried about in that locker room last year. Even though Gils dumbass is who escalated it

Ok that is funny
But it is sad for the dude. Arenas has millions and is going to play while this guys career is over and probably he doesnt even have a degree

You know I wonder if he shot himself in the foot by insinuating that he would not come back here to play. I mean he came off kind of cocky to think his career has gotten to the point that he could decide who he would and would not play for. If I was in his position I would have been a little more thankful for the opportunity and kept my options open. Even though, he ended up getting a contract anyway, imagine how stupid he would look if the Bobcats didn’t sign him.

Probably just setting the stage . . . .
. . . . .for a trade for Gilbert. Wouldn’t want another gunfight at the O.K. Corral. :-)
I always thought that he gave alot of effort
and looked like he cared. He really seemed to be one of those young players who, while very raw, might have an opportunity to be decent because they hustled and worked hard rather than just relying on athletic ability.
It’s a shame that his career has turned out this way – he has never really had a chance anywhere due to circumstances and injury (and of course gun gate).

I think he was overly negative about the other 3 PGs
Which makes him sound really negative about Crit in that particular quote. The article itself is a little more positive.
Sounds like a Larry Brown move
He’s never happy with the players he has and will quickly get rid of them.
