Around SBN: Nevin Shapiro Vows To Bring Down Miami

If you're a fan of The Wire (I confess I've never watched it), my man and fellow Wizards fan Andrew Sharp will probably make you laugh with this piece.

the wire

is arguably the best tv series i’ve ever seen. you should watch it mike.

this is the second wire reference regarding arenas. the first was “where are bunk and mcnulty when you need them?” can’t remember who said it though.

I'd love to, but I don't get HBO

Maybe I can get the DVDs of previous seasons.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

season five they focus on the baltimore sun newsroom

you’d particularly like that one.

but don’t start with it. watch it the whole way through. save the best for last.

Yeah I've seen part of one episode from that season

It looked good. Just never got a chance to get into it

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Yeah, I've had several people tell me I'd like it

Okay, I’m sold. I’m getting those DVDs.

yup, David Simon

who wrote the book Homicide (which you should also check out Mike, b/c his reporting was out of this world), then produced the same named show.

He loves him some Balmo.

Its always Roger Mason (Jr.) time!

good book

but I felt weird about it just because so much of the stuff in the Wire came directly from that book.

have to watch it

surpasses the Sopranos easily. And that is saying something

Its always Roger Mason (Jr.) time!

Wire is my favorite series

I told Prada seperately but one of the Writer/producers for the Wire is DC’s own George Pelecanos. Anyone who likes DC or the Wire should check out his books. I’d love to have his take on the Arenas incident.
