NBA sources said the Washington Wizards had "light conversations" about sending center Brendan Haywood to the Portland Trail Blazers for guard Andre Miller, but nothing is imminent. The transition of the Wizards’ ownership has complicated any changes the team is considering making to its roster. One NBA executive said Portland still hopes it can use Miller to net a center or small forward.

I know that Haywood's probably a goner ....
But for the old PG with $15 million over two years left on his contract.
Seems silly.

Yeah
I’d hope they get another young player and a pick…..

I would agree with you and said as much the other day,
what with Foye playing pretty well and all. But then I watched a tape delay of last night’s Celtics-Blazers game and Miller came withing a whisker of a triple-double, plus the crew that broadcast the game (the Celtics crew not the Blazers) highlighted some remarkable statistics about Miller’s durability… longest consecutive games streak in the league and such… that suggest he may be just one of those players who has conserved himself pretty well (like Jamison)… If the Wiz could get Miller plus a first rounder for BTH that might be better than my original thought of Blake’s expiring plus a surplus Blazer backup power forward and a draft choice.
A couple of other things that stuck out about the Blazers are that Juwan is playing pretty wel all things considered and Aldridge seems soft.
Andre Miller
SUCKS. He’s the worst shooter of all the starting guards in the league. And he’s past his prime. If there even was one.
My swag was phenomenal.
See my comment above...
He ain’t pretty but there is more here than meets the eye, I think… If he were on the Lakers, yikes.
i dont know if i'd do the miller deal but
…haywood is the most obvious wizard to trade unless the team is ok with the idea of giving this guy a 50 plus million dollar contract which some other team will
haywood is probably in the top half the center’s in the league which says more about how weak the center position is … while, he has improved and does contribute, he stills plays so soft around the basket way too often and i cant imagine any title contending team in which haywood would be one of your 3 highest paid players
that being said, his cheap, expiring contract and rebounding ability, should make him attractive to a contender that we’d be able to get an asset(draft pick) or a little cap relief(maybe pkg him and stevenson) for an expiring
