This week's SB Nation NBA Power Rankings
Sorry for the lack of a recap yet - I was working on these all morning, and before that, I wrote this up about Nike's total butchering of MLK Day. I'll get to recapping yesterday's game, with quotes, tonight. Sorry all.
Carry on.

Nice job on the shoes
I thought you were spot on there. When I saw them, I thought, “Did they think it was Nelson Mandela day?” Just really didn’t see what the shoes had to do with MLK.
Why is NJ so bad?
Know nothing about this team this season
they are a below average team when healthy
plus Devin Harris missed a lot of time, as did Yi Jianlian (he got the gerald wallace out-of-control-ram-into-someones-knee treatment – a la gilbert arenas – this is why i hate wallace).

Dump the Cap and u get crap.
No more Jason Kid and Vince Carter. They sold all their good assets and tried to rebuild Like what the Wizards are about to do.
Rebuilding is a process
They have young talent, cap room and a likely top draft choice. We’ll hear from them sooner or later.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
NJ is better situatated for an overhaul than the Wizards are
1. They have a good foundation in Brook Lopez ©, Yi (PF/SF), Courtney Lee and Chris Douglas-Roberts look like they’ll be pretty good SG’s, and they’re poised to get a top 5 pick in the upcoming draft….. if it’s #1 , they can draft John Wall (People are saying he’s the best PG prospect to come out since Derrick Rose – and Wall might be better)…
2. They will be close to $30 Million under the salary cap this summer – enough to sign one max Free Agent (LeBron, Bosh, Wade, Nowitzki, Amar’e Stoudemire, etc…) and another high level FA (David Lee, Joe Johnson, Udonis Haslem, Jermaine O’Neal, Mike Miller, Carlos Boozer, Luis Scola, Manu Ginobili, etc)…
Even with the FA Signings, NJ would STILL be under the Luxury Tax…..
Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......
For the Wizards to be in the same situation...
.They would have to:
1. Void Gilbert Arenas’ contract
2. Trade Jamison, Butler, Haywood and Miller for expiring contract(s) and prospect(s) and/or draft pick(s)
3. Lose a lot more games – to get a better chance at a top 5 pick…
Even then – the Wizard’s foundation (players left after the trades – ie: Nick Young, McGee, Blatche, Foye, etc…) don’t look nearly as good as the Nets young core.
