Songaila to the Hornets
Interesting that NO is willing to take on Songaila's salary after they tried to get rid of Chandler for expirings last year.

Daniels is expiring and Songaila isn't
It is funny how they rack up PGs though. Kahn’s good on the asset front, but not so good on the roster balance part.

Byron Scott is gonna absolutely love Songaila
Brand will play a ton of minutes at Center, and David West will eat up minutes at PF – but if either of those guys need a break, D-Song is solid.
And I almost guarantee Songaila will be in at the end of games….for his solid D, low turn overs, and smart play.

I doubt this

So they’d sit Okafor?

Is ^^ guy for real
If I’m to understand this correctly they’re going to sit David West at the end of games for Songaila right?
That sounds like a strategy the 07-08 Heat would use.

As an aside
I think New Orleans is going to be really good next year. Okafor helps take pressure off Paul to do everything, and their wing play is not going to be as bad as last year because Peja will be healthier, Mo Pete will be better and Julian Wright will do something.
They suddenly have a decent bench now too with Posey, Wright/Mo Pete, Songaila, Ike Diogu and Darren Collison.
A lot went wrong for them last year and they still won 49 games. I suspect they’ll challenge Denver, Portland and San Antonio behind LA next year.

@ hibachi
New Orleans does cut 1.3M in salary for this upcoming year, so it makes some short-term financial sense.
Getting buckets since 2003.

The Wolves are just dumb right now
I understand rebuilding projects, but they’re fooling themselves right now. The only guy they are rebuilding around is Al Jefferson. I don’t care for Kevin Love (don’t know why he’s treated like he’s untouchable in trades), don’t know what to expect from Jonny Flynn, and am almost completely convinced that Ricky Rubio is useless to any NBA team while he’s playing in Spain. I guess the Wolves have just accepted their fate as the doppelgänger for the Memphis Grizzlies.
