Comcast SportsNet's Chris Miller (a guy I need to link to more often) breaks down the shooting guard battle. DeShawn honestly sounds like a guy who has already lost in this video.

Hmm...
I didn’t gather the same thing about DeShawn in the video …

His focus is to "not be negative"
“Because we got a really good team and I don’t really want to be a cancer.”
That sounds pretty self-defeatist to me.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
I agree with Truth About It...
Mike Miller has said some what the same thing about starting as opposed to coming off the bench. I think both are just trying to say they are going to give it their all no matter if they start or come off the bench.
Their tone of voice is very different
DeShawn talks about not being a cancer. Miller talks about how he’s accomplished so much that he doesn’t need to start anymore.
One has confidence no matter what and feels secure in his ways. The other doesn’t give off that vibe.
Sure, they’re saying similar things, but IMO in a very different way

Agree on Deshawn
Looks like with NY stepping up and Miller and Foye going to get minutes that its quickly becoming evident to Deshawn that he’s an early odd man out.
Deshawn at the 3?
Unless I misheard, he made an interesting comment during the video that he wants to win, but he also wants minutes and would take them at either the 2 or the 3.
Our rotation really is crammed, but maybe Deshawn is thinking that he can edge Taser out as our designated wing defensive specialist. I doubt he can, but I’m starting to feel sorry for him; he’s always tried really hard and he has been a good Bullet.
Flip has commented that the 2 & 3 in his offense are interchangeable.

Great Video!
Yeah you really should be linking to him more often. That was great! This is the most intriguing question to me. I just can’t wait to be watching these guys again. That 2 hour stream on Saturday will be an unsatisfying tease.
My swag was phenomenal.
how's his back?
is he back to 100% or has he lost something?

He says he's 100%
Said he went to Vancouver to fix it and it’s all good.

thx
guess i was wondering how you thought he looked. based on last year and his streak of games started i don’t think he’s the kind of guy that would say anything other than that he’s 100% even if he’s not.
we’ll find out soon enough i’m sure.
