SB Nation's Andrew Sharp on MJ
This link is a couple days old, but new SB Nation contributor Andrew Sharp (who runs The Ham Sandwich) is a Wizards fan and had some great thoughts on MJ the Wizard. His sentiments echo mine somewhat.

Mike, your post was absolutely spot on. I usually get pretty psyched when a great player gets enshrined in any sport. It’s always really captivating to see how the all time greats react to the honor, to see the speeches, who they thank, etc. And Jordan pretty much being in his own category as a player would seem to add to that interest. But i have felt conflicted, and after reading your excellent and articulate post, I know why. Thanks for putting my thoughts into words for me! I’m not being facetious; I really do appreciate it.
The only positive thing I think MJ ever gave us
was that extra revenue. He was, to say the least, a big draw for sales. We did eventually get out of the mediocrity that existed before and during his time with us, and we did that in part because we could spend more money on free agents, retaining good players, and more intelligent coaching and front office staff.
