Ball Don't Lie: Brendan Haywood isn't fully informed
KD lays into Haywood on his recent comments about Stephon Marbury. I hate to say it, but KD's right.
UPDATE: A semi-apology from Haywood on his blog. Not good enough, but at least it's something.

While BH does have the right to speak his mind, you really need to think through what you put out. I dont believe Steph is gay but if he was so what. To me the bigger picture is that Steph has a problem be it mental or some kind of substance. It does not appear that family or friends are pulling him to the side or do any type of intervention.

I agree with KD
Haywood is an ignorant dolt.
No mistakes in the tango, darling. Not like life. Simple. That's what makes the tango so great. If you make a mistake, and get all tangled up, you just tango on.....

Haywood is anything but ignorant - but perhaps he should have an editor
Let me first say that I disagree with Haywood – and think he may have been better off keeping silent, or perhaps editing his comments before putting them out there for everyone to see. Just as I believe Stephon Marbury may have been better off not putting that video out there….
Haywood may have said some things that people disagree with…
and he may have been a bit homo-phobic in his statements…
but he had the bollocks to make his feelings known…. something that is so rare, it’s nigh impossible to find in this day and age of “managed” Professional Athletes.
If Stephon Marbury has the right to show the entire world his butt wiggle, and lick his fingers to “Barbie Girl”; certainly looking every bit the modern gay man (not that there’s anything wrong with that) – then Haywood has every right to voice his opinions on said wiggling butt.
Sure…. I’ve listened to old songs and did a quick wiggle in my bedroom…. perhaps a few quick steps from “the hustle”… BUT, I didn’t take off my shirt, video tape it, and put it on the Internet for everyone to see. If I did, I’d expect to receive comments suggesting that I was gay.
Let me ask the BF community out there:
Does watching this video make you uncomfortable?
Sad?
Disgusted?
Puzzled?
Aroused? (not that there’s anything wrong with that)

I’m not saying I think Brendan is right, I actually disagree with him but still, it’s nice that some players actually bother to speak their mind instead of hiding under PR training. It makes the league more interesting, so I encourage Brendan to keep blogging.

By starting a radio show, Haywood has done the second stupidest thing any player has done this offseason.
Guess who is number one. By a slim margin.
Not a great move by two guys looking for contracts.

To clarify, Haywood didn't say this on his own radio show
He said it as a guest on someone else’s radio show.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
