That sucks
He and Crittenton have been the most fun people to track this summer.

Eh, he's proved enough I think
Pam McGee’s on the set right now.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Pam's talking about how its crucial the vets take the young guys under their wings
And teach them how to win. I wonder whether she’s just saying that or firing a shot at our vets.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Just started watching and Javale is 8-11 with 20 points.
How’s he looked?

Very solid
I still felt he played better yesterday, but it was easier to notice that yesterday than today, when I was actually in attendance.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
After the first couple of games, Wizards Nation can...
at least breathe a small sigh of relief. JVM obviously finished strong.
The Blatche-JVM overlap issue is an intriguing one. Mike, this may be one of your big story linesover coming weeks.
And it sounds like Pam ought to get a comcast gig.
Pam says the Wizards are the team to beat next year in the East
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Pam says Gilbert has changed his game and isn't going to put up a lot of shots.
Is that a good or bad thing?

I think it's good....
Obviously Gil has a great gift for scoring lots of baskets, and can do so quite efficiently. But my hope is that if we spread things around, no one guy will have to carry the whole ox cart, we can limit minutes a bit and play better defense while being fresh for the playoffs.
But if the offense ever be broke, then we crack the glass on the old Hibachi grill.
Oh, and by the way, thanks much for all the coverage of the SL, it was fantastic. I hope the team ponies up for your press pass.
So do I
The team is just better when Gil balances being a scorer with being a distributor/offensive initiator. With the additions of Foye and Miller, Young, Blatche and McGee improving, and Haywood back, this team will be much more dangerous with a more balanced attack. It could be the hardest team to defend in the East. Maybe not the best, but perhaps the most explosive.
Uh huh
Getting the right balance is key and Arenas is ultimately the one who’s going to create that balance. He is at the same time the most dominant offensive player on that team, the player with the most ability to create his own shot, so he definitely will need to utilize that skill. But there’s so much offensive talent on this team (among the starters and the bench players) that Gil will make this team better if he becomes a master distributor/facilitator for others.
On Pam McGee: if she says the Wizards are the team to beat in the East, then I’ll back her up on it. Fuk it, I’m moving the Wizards up ahead of Boston, Orlando and Cleveland in my preseason rankings. Why the hell not.
One thing I’ve picked up from this year’s summer league is everyone seems to have a little more purpose. Young and Crittendon are fighting to earn playing time on a team with a crowded backcourt. McGee and Blatche are eager to prove the Wizards management were right to entrust them with more playing time and responsibility. The coaching staff looks great.

Notice again how McGee's having a big game with Blatche out
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
9-10 on Free Throws
Has Javale’s free throw stroke changed noticeably? I don’t recall him ever being this good on so many attempts from the line.
How was he scoring his point in today’s game? Did he show any new post moves?
No real polished post moves to speak of
JaVale played well but most of his points came from his usual assortment of dunks, athletic moves ending with a soft floater type of shot, and getting fouled while attempting one of the above.
He did seem more confident today in backing his man down, probably due to the 5 pounds of muscle he’s already put on this summer.
