Open thread: Summer League Game 4 vs. LA Clippers
I'm currently watching Wolves/Hornets and there are a bunch of guys behind me who have been heckling Oleksiy Pecherov. It's pretty funny, no joke. (Update: It's this guy).
This is my last Summer League game in person, since I'm flying out of Vegas tonight. Just in time to see Blake Griffin demolish our frontcourt. Can't wait.
I'll be tweeting as well as blogging, per usual, so hit me up if you want anything.
UPDATE: Andray Blatche is sitting today.

I think...
3 or 4 of these guys started against the Clippers in the regular season last year. That hardly seems fair in SL.
In this world, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant. Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. - Elwood P. Dowd
The More I See Him In Action...
The more I think the biggest addition to the Wizards will be Sam Cassell. The young guys really listen to and respect him, because he’s intense with a smile and talks to them one on one rather than talking to the young guys as a group, he’s got the personal touch.

They're definitely playing their best game of SL today
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Box score says NY had 8 turnovers (0 assists)
That sound right to anyone who watched?
Getting buckets since 2003.

They called Nick for 2 or 3 carries...
And then another 2 or 3 offensive fouls that I can recall.
So yes, 8 turnovers sound about right.
How did Javale get 7 blocks but only 4 rebounds?
Its encouraging to see him have such a nice game, especially against one of the better centers in the summer league (Jordan), but how in the world do you block 7 shots and only get 4 rebounds. Someone needs to show Javale some tape of how Bill Russel used to block shots AND get the rebounds from those blocks …
I'm not too worried about this
Dom did his usual work on the boards so we weren’t missing a whole lot there.
The lane was clogged all night with Jordan and Griffin being big bodies, and even more so with us double and triple teaming Griffin almost every time he had the ball near the post.
In those types of situations, JaVale easily gets bumped and pushed around being that he’s still thin. Plus it’s exasperated by him going for shot blocks which as we all know can sometimes put you out of rebounding position.
Btw, JaVale had at least another block or two that didn’t get credited in the official box score.
