Open thread: Summer League Game 3 vs. Minnesota
Not sure yet who's sitting for the Wizards, but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.
I'm sitting next to Wyn from Canis Hoopus, and we're joking that it's basically the former Timberwolves vs. the former Wizards tonight. Should be interesting to see Oleksiy Pecherov for the first time.
I'm tracking JaVale McGee carefully tonight. Hopefully he looks a lot better than he did in the first two games.
UPDATE: So much for the last sentence. JaVale is sitting tonight. Already got an interview scheduled with him after the game though.

Pecherov's been playing pretty well
He’s been getting a fair amount of rebounds and shooting the ball pretty efficiently. Then again, you could argue that his game was made for Summer League.
Ridiculous Upside, where the D-League is better than your favorite team, as objectively determined by Summer League.
actually he had the highest rebound rate on the team from last year if i recall correctly.
he’s always been a decent rebounder. just doesn’t get the minutes.
Getting buckets since 2003.

I'm at the other end
Back row. Dude with a plain blue long-sleeve button down.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
McGee!

Flynn's going to need to make his outside shot
This far in summer ball, Flynn has made a living using his herky jerky dribble to scrape defenders off each other outside. Teams are going to start laying off the kid any time now.
Sadly, the Wizards’ defense on him wasn’t as specific to summer ball as Zierden seemed to think afterward.
