Update from Vegas

Dray Blatche is in, D-Mac is out because you can only have four NBA players dress per game.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

u tha man Mike … hey man have fun in Vegas u lucky ma lol have fn man

Another reason

why Blatche should have stayed away.

Look Mr. James, I lived near the Chesapeake Bay for the first 21 years of my life, at times as close as a 5 minute walk. I know about crabs. And let me tell you something about crabs: they travel every time they get in the lane.

Blatche looks clueless

what the hell was that flipshot/pass??

Don't worry y'all ... Andray threw his headband off ... it's ON now.

Oh wait, he turned the ball over trying to spin and bring it up the court on the break right after that.

Never mind.

Nice to see Blatche scoring inside.

Less jumpers and more banging inside is just what he needs to focus on if he’s going to be backing up Haywood.

Getting buckets since 2003.

DID NICK YOUNG JUST COME OFF OF A SCREEN AND HIT AN OPEN SHOT!!?

OMG and all that. Looks like Sam Cassell’s getting through on at least one thing.

YEs

This is much better

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 7:34 PM EDT reply actions

Looks like

Nick is playing defense also.

by Danyon Rome on Jul 14, 2009 7:47 PM EDT reply actions

Nick is doing a bit of everything

I know he’s got at least 2 rebounds… he’s passed the ball well, when he didn’t have a good shot….
He’s been running off screens all night (looking like the second coming of Reggie Miller) –
and of course, has hit almost every shot he’s taken

The difference I see in his game this year – all the shots he’s taken in the game were within the offense…. he didn’t initiate any of them… He came off screens… he sat inthe corner for catch-and-shoot… he ran the floor….

At no time did I see him dribble penetrate for a shot…

Bullets Forever - where "Dagger ! " happens......

by Rook6980 on Jul 14, 2009 7:53 PM EDT up reply actions

I think he even got a block

He looks like, dare I say it, a legitimate NBA shooting guard.

by pantslessyoda1 on Jul 14, 2009 8:03 PM EDT up reply actions

NY 31 points through 3 Quarters

and we can’t find a place for him on this team?

Getting buckets since 2003.

by Icantfeelmyface on Jul 14, 2009 7:50 PM EDT reply actions

NY looks good.

With more games like this, it becomes more and more important for Foye to transition to backup PG.

by forthepeople on Jul 14, 2009 7:51 PM EDT reply actions

why

is JaVale throwing behind the backs?

Its always Roger Mason (Jr.) time!

by Sean Fagan on Jul 14, 2009 8:00 PM EDT reply actions

Haha, yeah Flip

Just said on air that if JaVale tries a behind-the-back during the season, he’ll be sitting on the bench. This guy really exudes confidence and knowledge.

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 8:02 PM EDT reply actions

Mike

Get some interviews man!

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 8:02 PM EDT reply actions

Not a good night for JaVale

But he’ll be back. I think Arenas will be tossing him many alley oops.

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 8:07 PM EDT reply actions

Can go big

With Haywood and McGee on the floor, and let JaVale be a PF on defense. Yes!

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 8:08 PM EDT reply actions

Nick will be on Sports Center tonight

and then we will remember it’s summer league. Now he’s chucking and playing bad defense.

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 8:10 PM EDT reply actions

I know its summer league

but can we learn to close out the perimeter shooting sometime this decade?

Its always Roger Mason (Jr.) time!

by Sean Fagan on Jul 14, 2009 8:15 PM EDT reply actions

Nice to see

they can’t inbound the ball with time running out either. That’s ok, let Caron take it out and just pass it in for Gilbert for the clear out.

by Unselds on Jul 14, 2009 8:19 PM EDT reply actions

Classic Nick

34 minutes: 36 points, 2 rebounds, 3 TOs, 3 fouls, 1 block, zero assists zero steals.

by Jheiser3 on Jul 14, 2009 8:19 PM EDT reply actions

To be fair

They kept running him off the same screen action, so he’d always end up with the ball away from the hoop. Part of it is how they used him.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

by Mike Prada on Jul 14, 2009 9:43 PM EDT up reply actions

really enjoyable to watch a basketball game with so few commercial interruptions
