Around SBN: How A Letter From Tom Coughlin Helped One Fan's Recovery

Two quick site announcements

Lots of work to do, so I'm going to make this quick.  I'm hoping to finish the Foye post tonight that I promised.

First, I just want to remind everyone that I am going to be live in Las Vegas to cover the entire Wizards summer league.  I'm arriving on the 12th and leaving the 18th, so I'm actually going to miss the last game, but I'll be there for the other four games with a press pass for SB Nation.  I've already thought of several stories and angles to pursue, but if there is anything in particular you are desperate to find out, pose me a list and I'll see what I can do.

Second, I want to announce that bwoodsxyz is joining us as a front-page author.  Bwoodsxyz is going to publish one stat-oriented post a week about the Wizards, similar to the style he's been doing in the FanPosts.  It's going to be published on a specific day in a specific time period, but we're still finalizing the details on that.  Once we determine which day it'll come, I'll let you all know.  You can then set your calendars and be sure to check out the site to read whatever he's got up his sleeve then.

Now back to your regularly-scheduled programming.

Congrats bwoodsxyz

And some day I hope I have the money to go and play in the World Series of Poker main event and then go to the Vegas Summer League to watch the Wizards. That would be an awesome two weeks.

Very cool

I haven’t been able to comment as much the last few months because of work, but I just wanted to say: great work guys. Keep it up.

Congrats

That’s really cool. Enjoy. I hope your hard work pays off.

Summer League

One aspect of the Vegas summer league that I’m curious is the work/play ratio. I know that if I were 23, I would view the summer league as an all expenses paid vacation trip with my buddies, ie clubs and casinos. I’m curious as to how the players view it and are they serious about the basketball when they’re out there?
