Dan is pretty snarky here ...
Guess he’s “pissed” that the Wizards suck and feels it’s bad for business.

etan vs the wizards
I was in the locker room during every home game, and Brendan’s depiction of Thomas’ behavior is dead on….Thomas kept his distance from his teammates before and after games, and regardless what his reasons were for doing so, it just came off as holier than thou. Even Jamison and Butler, who had no problems getting on teammates directly and via the media, took time to joke and interact with team. That wasn’t Etan’s deal. I’ve read interviews with Gilbert where he says he respected that, but I’m not sure that was the general feeling…

Good call Rashad ...
That’s why I wrote him a ‘good riddance’ on truth about it.

You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.
Is it me or...
Is Brendan Haywood the adult we all hoped he would become? It started for me during the last Cleveland playoff series when he seemed much more vocal about getting things done. His blogs and this interview have come off as mature and rational. Even saying 4th out of respect makes a lot of sense in terms of this team’s ceiling. When i click I cringe at what he might say but each time he comes across as an insightful guy.
Thats great for him and potentially great for us.
It's not just you.
The guy is no dummy … it’s also a contract year.
Blogging … increased media appearances … he’s ‘branding’ himself.
I like the new Haywood though.

Ya
I had the same thought when he started doing more media. At the same time, just doing more media doesn’t mean the player makes as much sense as Brendan does right now.
One thing that tends to mature a guy is seeing the foolishness of younger guys. he stepped up in the Cleveland series and from everything I can tell has been working his butt off prepping for said contract year.
