DX; Athletic Testing Results
First impression was that James Harden tests out well in the sprint, standing vert, max vert, bench but middle of the pack in agility. Because he is one of the more polished players we tend to forget he is 19.
Also give Collison credit, he tested out better in the sprint and agility drills than the other PGs including Ty Lawson.

Bud
Budinger was a pretty good volleyball player coming out of La Costa Canyon HS in SoCal. He always had the vert. Too bad you don’t have to sprint or guard anyone in volleyball or he might be rated higher than he is now.

The thing is
Budinger has great tools to be a good defender. He’s got good lateral quickness. Quick hands. Great jumping ability.
His problem is his stance… It’s too high, and he gets out of balance too easily. Also, he’s never been required to play defense….
At Arizona, he was asked to run the floor and shoot jump shots.
Not sure he can be a good defender in the NBA, but he has good size, quickness, vertical, quick second jump, and good hands. He’s got all the tools (but then again, so does Nick Young)….
