Players are in the Drew Summer ball competitions. Like Barry Farms or Rucker park, Gilbert Arenas has run in the Drew League as well as a host of other pros. Maybe we can get some LA based Wiz fan to hunt it up and give us the courtside scoop.
Nice to see JaVale with the handle and mid-air violence though.

that I’ve seen Harden drive to his right, and elevate for a dunk….

A lot of these guys will be working very hard on their weaknesses....
Harden’s perceived weakness is his average athleticism… perhaps he’s been working hard on getting extra lift from his legs…. He certainly looked like he had no trouble taking off and finishing strong….
I was watching a video of Hasheem Thabeet while he was working out…

He said he was working on increasing his strength and his footwork (two of his perceived weaknesses) -and in the video, you can see him shooting jump shot after jump shot (another perceived weakness)…
Some of these players have never had to do certain things because their teams needed them to do something different – It doesn’t mean they can’t LEARN or improve….

Oh yeah...
And ESPN’s Chad Ford said that Harden had lost about 10-15 pounds since he’s started his Summer workout regime.
The improved physique and conditioning have given him an added quickness and explosiveness that you didn’t always see at Arizona State.
That could also be the reason Harden is looking more “athletic” than when I reviewed his games during the Season.

This just about made my week
I’d almost forgotten just how much I love watching Nick Young play. Ditto for Javale. I reeeally hope we don’t trade either of them and that Blatche is the odd man out if we trade a young guy with the pick.
Also, Harden might not be the most athletic player in the draft, but he looks incredibly muscular for a guard. His arms looked almost Boozer-like.

Great video to find. JaVale just absolutely destroyed those guys. I loved seeing him handle the ball down the court and just slam it.
I think this is great that Harden is running games with our boys. I would love to get him at 5.
