Rodney Stuckey- Maybe it’s fear of the unknown, but I just don’t see how a tweener from a mid-minor conference (the Big Sky conference was 24th in Conference RPI) is going to justify being picked mid-first round. I mean he could turn out to be a great player that we’ve all been sleeping on, but I just don’t see it.

Fun fact
Of the five players Jake listed as “Most likely to play better than their draft position,” four of them spent time in the D-League this year. They were all pretty good, though (and Almond was just down there because Utah has too many SGs).

The fifth one wasn't even drafted
I still can’t believe that Almond and Byars can’t find a spot in the NBA.

Almond should stick somewhere
He’s had some back injury issues recently, but he’s talented. He kind of got squeezed out by the fact that Utah has Korver and Ronnie Brewer, plus Harpring and CJ Miles who can play some 2-guard.
I didn’t go in this looking to plug anything, but coincidentally I wrote about Byars the other day.
