Q: How does it make you feel to be considered the top point guard?
Paul: It makes me feel really, really good. But after tomorrow, it doesn’t make a difference. Once you get drafted it’s what you do after. No matter if you’re the second pick or the 60th pick, it really doesn’t matter. It’s all about how you perform.

I wonder how the quote
will look to Hornets fans after last night. I read their open thread for the game last night. I can’t imagine how we would react to getting beat by 58 in the playoffs.

following that game last night
it was clear N.O. missed the presence, leadership, humility and decision-making of mike james. if i was them, i would really pursue him this off-season.

Total Collapse...
The Hornets, like the Pistons, will be taking a long hard look in the mirror… and they won’t be liking what they see. The Thunder’s decision to ship Chandler back to NO is looking more and more like a smart move.
Chris Paul is a fine player but his supporting cast is clearly not what it was cracked up to be. James Posey and his longer term contract will be on the block for sure and might prove of interest here (though I don’t think Mike James will interest them, delicious as little stevie’s idea sounds). A crack at Thabeet just might prove enticing enough for them to take on a year of The Poet., though
B. Scott looks like he has burned out his relationship with his team as well…
I doubt they'd take on any money
Isn’t that why they tried to trade Chandler in the first place? Their owner is losing money, and his main (only?) source of income is the Hornets.
But what would you take from them?
The only players on that team I’d want are Chris Paul (not gonna happen) and David West (not gonna happen). Their roster really got exposed this year.

I don't know....
Rasual Butler is a very good wing and perimeter defender, and at 6’7" with long arms, he contests outside shots very well.. He’s also a 39% shooter from the 3-point line…. Two things the Wizards need; perimeter defense and 3-point shooting…
James Posey is another excellent wing defender that can hit the 3…. I’d rather have Rasual Butler, because he’s younger and makes $2 Million less – but Posey is just the kind of veteran bench player the Wizards need.
